The book time on this job is 3.2 @ $135.00 hr, Im not sure where 1-1.5 Hours comes from. What is not on the ticket is the 2 hours of cleaning the engine, and 7 cans of cleaner at $13.99 a can, to determine the root cause of the leak, the leak was improperly diagnosed before bu the dealer, so these steps were necessary to correctly identify the source of the leak. we are very thorough with our Diag proceedure, which is an expence that the shop absorbs to insure a proper Diagnosis. Therefore charging book time on repairs is not only necessary, its imparitive to survival of our buisness.
Furthermore the Oil pressure switch on this vehice is in between the Alternator and the A/C compressor. there is no access the this switch unless you remove one or the other. The alternator is the logical choice to remove as it is easier and requires less time than the A/C compressor

4/25 Tried to call Paul Hash, No answer 5-10 min later Alyssa White calls back. Thought conversation was gonna go OK til she started stating that they never spoke to us about truck and how we didn't have authorization for repairs. I let her know that the day Paul Hash authorized repairs, we began the work. 2 hours later he called and declined repairs. I then advised him we had already started and that we would be taking new parts back off and put old ones back on. I explained that i have numerous times tried to reach out to them and no reply or answer. As the #s on truck didn't wok. When conversation was coming to end i did tell them that total was now over $1k due to storage fees. She said they weren't aware of storage fees and didn't authorize that either. I once again tried to let her know that Paul Hash (the man who brought in vehicle) has been aware since the day the storage fees started, as noted above. She then hung up on me.
