St. Charles Hyundai has been very attentive to our needs up until this last service visit. This is why my family has bought 6 cars from this dealership
Overall, I give this dealership a good rating. This last service encounter however was very poor.

We appologize that we could not find any further problems than the broken shifter that was replaced. When rechecked the shifter for you it was functioning normally. We very thourghoghly checked the shifter and the related systems and found no faults. If you have any trouble with the shifter please let us know. We appreciate your business.

Now that's a real warranty!
Still "waiting for the other shoe to fall" - Can't believe that the entire engine & etc was completely replaced at n/c! So glad I bought a Hyundai - If it were any other car after 3 years I'm sure the end result would be much different.
I have noticed that I get a strange odor (almost asphyxiating odor) from the A/C when it's on - not sure what that is & need to have the dealer check it out.

Car not fixed, rude dealer staff
My car was supposedly fixed, so I picked it up, but I knew something wasn't right within 5 miles. I headed back, and barely coasted up to the outer road in front of the dealer, the dashboard lit up like 4th of July, the car literally died, and I couldn't even put the gearshift into park. This was 20 feet from the dealer/service parking lot.

I walked in and the guys in the lobby said "What do you want us to do? Service department is closed." One of them looked up my car in their computer system and said "oh too bad, you're out of warranty so you can't call Hyundai roadside assistance." So I had to call AAA *again*, and when the towtruck guy showed up, he couldn't believe that the dealer wouldn't even call a towtruck at their expense since it was their fault.

The guys at St. Charles Hyundai didn't even ask if my daughter and I were okay, didn't offer to stand with us until the towtruck got there, didn't ask if my daughter wanted water or anything (it was a really hot day), just went back in their offices and ignored me.

St. Charles Hyundai Always Take Care Of Us!
St. Charles Hyundai always treats us great. Their service department is the best. I always ask for Bob Reck, and have been doing so for almost 10 years. We have never been disappointed. They always make sure I have a free current-year loaner car, and my cars always are returned cleaner than I brought them in! I have bought two brand new Hyundais from St. Charles Hyundai myself, and have recommended them to several friends who have also bought there. One of my wife's friends stupidly bought her Elantra from Suntrup Hyundai in St. Louis, and had an absolutely horrible experience. But we warned her!

Failed to identify and fix obvious warranty issues
Car has a whining turbo due to failing seals. I was told it's normal operation sounding. Even tried to show them multiple YouTube video of similar results. Also denied to fix my peeling paint on the bumper. My car only has 23k miles so it is well within warranty. No to mention sloppy work they left various hoses and clamps undone (as another dealer pointed out)

We are very sorry that we could not get the damage to your paint covered under the vehicles warranty per Hyundai’s policy. When you brought your Genesis Coupe in for service, the turbocharger was functioning normally so there was not anything that needed to be replaced. We even contacted Hyundai's tech support to confirm this. Your car is under warranty for a great deal longer if a failure does occur we would be more than happy to facilitate any repairs needed under that warranty.

Got the work done for me instead of passing me off and letting me leave dissatisfied (as Suntrup did).
Love this dealership! Couldn't be happier with the service!!! I only wish you were located closer to where I live but the commute and satisfaction are well worth the time!

I have been deceived on more than one occasion; told one thing and another has happened.
1) The car is great. 2) The MPG's are overrated. 3) I should not have agreed to the lease price; I still feel I was overcharged in an underhanded way. 4) It took 24 months to get my service plan in writing. 5) I was charged for a service that I did not know was not part of my service plan. 6) I had checked with the attendant to confirm that there would be no charge for the service that day; yet, I was charged more than $50.
