I just had front struts, which were needed on my VW. I noticed it driving differently, and making noi
ses when going over bumps, in the road. I also had a door lever that needed to be replaced, because my passenger door would not open from the outside. Desmond’s Autoservice completed another wonderful job as they always do, for the many I have been going to Desmond’s. Ray, Tim, and James are simply the best with their kindness, knowledge, trustworthiness, and I would never go anywhere else than Desmond’s Autoservice! I took my new car back to the dealer for 2 years, since it was free. I continued for routine 6-month
service after it was no longer free, perhaps out of habit. I noticed in January, though, that the experience was very impersonal, with communications while I was in the waiting room done by canned texts. I was encouraged to pay on my phone. Additional service recommendations seemed to come from an algorithm instead of a person who knows me, my car and my driving and car care habits. I decided to switch to G&M, based on their great track record with my older vehicle. What a difference! I talked briefly with Jim when I scheduled the routine appointment, when I dropped it off, and when I picked it up. I felt like I was being charged for only the service that professionals at G&M thought were necessary.
