Classic / Rugged DII
DII are notorious with issues and most complicated in Discovery lineup. If you don’t know what your buying, you better do your research first. Unless a mechanic/enthusiast of this particular model!
My experience with Land Rover DII wasn’t overwhelming, since mine just needed a little maintenance to keep it going. Luckily enough my DII was in good shape, just needed a little love .
I performed all the necessary fluid changes, and upgraded all the components that usually fails in short time . Overall the truck is running like a champ .
Things to look for before buying:
Head gaskets
EVAP system
Ball joints
Rust
Leaky roof ( sunroofs ) unless it’s an SD no need to worry.
Coolant system
Oil pump .
