Excellent vehicle

First of all I like the look of the vehicle, the ride is smooth and it's big on the inside and comfortable. The mileage is really good, much better than the previous Tucson we had which was not a Hybrid

It is a very good car and we enjoy it a lot.

We wanted a red color, but was told none was available so we have a silver color that is just OK. The new shifter is very awkward and we also miss having a usb port.

Good car but some things bother me. It does not have a home link mirror and I can't get one according the Hyundai dealer. Why not! lots of people have garages and this should be standard equipment. The Temperature and Sync knobs cannot be read in bright sunlight or with sunglasses. This is an issue sometimes. The hatch in the back can be opened from the drivers seat but not closed. Who designed this? I have to get out and go behind the car to close it. Never had a car that required this before. The location of the hatch opener from outside of the car is not good. Move it up to where the other cars have it by the license plate. The speed limit is 25 mph where I live. This engine pings and acts like it needs more power when I go up a hill at 25 mph and the RPM is also quite high. It pings in Eco mode and My Drive mode but less in My Drive mode. It is quiet and enjoyable to drive in town. At highway speed it could use additional sound reduction. Highways are filled with cars and they are noisy places. I use a decibel meter when I shop for a car because this is important to me. Other cars of this class are worse with interior noise levels but I think improvements should be made here.

Coffee break alert insanity

This is my fourth Tucson- I used to love them. I had 2008, 2011, 2020 and now 2026. The driver’s safety warnings are out of control. The coffee break alert goes off every 4-7 minutes regardless of driving erratically or not. It is not possible to turn it off, either. I took it back to the dealership and was told there was no way to turn it off or reduce it. I absolutely hate it and it makes driving any distance unbearable.

I have owned Hyundais since 2014. Previous model's features were very intuitive to figure out/use. The 2026 Tucson Hybrid's are not, for the most part. The vehicle has so many new and helpful features, but yet a poorly indexed manual, employees (spoken to over the phone and in dealerships) who are unfamiliar with the solution to my seemingly basic question (I was recently told by a customer service rep, to visit the dealership's service department for my answer; they didn't take the time or initiative to get the answer for me).

Annoying messages "Keep your eyes on the road"

I do not wear glasses, and the daytime lighting conditions in Arizona are excellent. However, the system constantly displays “Keep your eyes on the road” notifications. The lane control is also poor. The car tends to drive too close to the right lane line and too close to traffic on the right side, especially near large commercial trucks. The sound quality is significantly worse than in our other car, a Nissan Rogue. The wireless phone charger does not properly charge the phone, even when using a Samsung phone without a case. The side mirrors do not fold automatically. All cars in our parking lot fold their mirrors, but our new Hyundai Tucson 2026 Limited does not. It is also not possible to close the windows using the remote. Finally, the gas mileage is below expectations.

Love the fit and finish. It’s quiet and sounds solid when you close the doors. The collision avoidance system is a bit of a challenge. It has overreacted with a couple of emergency braking events that weren’t necessary. So much so we were concerned we’d get rear ended. The lane assist is so problematic we turned it off. Lots of road construction where we live and lots of temporary lanes confuses the system.

Love my Tucson

My new Tucson is fun to drive and the hybrid motor is helping keep costs down as the current gasoline prices are soaring. This car has amazing technology and so many features that make it safe and comfortable to drive.

Outstanding with only a few flaws

Pleasure to drive and operate. However, as listed in the Cons, with as brilliant as everything else is, cannot understand the location of the rear turn signals being so low and so small. And it's great that it has manual controls for the climate but falls a little short because the lights are so dim (even with panel lights at their brightest) and needs a redesign or brighter lights or indicators. The center console storage isn't as well designed either as my Ford Edge was. That's about the only thing that was better though, because this is an outstanding car overall. Just a few tweaks for future models.
