Many great safety features that others don't have

Pros: This car has many great safety features like Head Up Display, a blind spot monitoring that when you turn your blinker on, it shows up on your dashboard, the full lane, not just a small area. 10 year warranty. More cargo space than any other car it's size (this is one of the main reasons I purchased it along with the other items I mentioned). Quality materials. Cons: No pedal adjustment. I'm 5'1" and hard to reach pedals and did all the other adjustments I could. Console area is weird and not very user friendly - especially for women with purses.

Great Vehicle - with one major caveat

I love most everything about my Tucson, the fuel economy, the sporty drive system, and the whole suite of luxury features. However, if I could get them to take back my lease and get me something else I would do it today because of one god awful "feature". The eye sensor. You can turn it off, but it automatically activates when you use the cruise control no matter if you have it on or off. The thing beeps at me constantly when my cruise is on. It does not stop. Doesn't matter if I wear sunglasses or not, doesnt matter if I'm staring directly ahead like my life depended on it. Then, sometimes, it will beep like the end of the world is coming, and then turn off my cruise control. That is SO DANGEROUS when it literally is doing this for NO REASON. I am not a distracted driver, and I shouldn't even have to defend myself as such. I leased a vehicle that is dangerous to me due to a "safety feature". Period. These things MUST be optional and I as the BUYER should be able to choose if it is on or not - especially if it is ALWAYS WRONG. I'll also add that the buying process at the dealership was absolutely abysmal.

Last decades’ technology meets broken parts

My 2019 Subaru crosstalk had more advanced driver assist technology and didn’t make an all out assault on the driving experience like this Hyundai Tucson. “Lane Assist” turns the car into a temperamental child bent on driving into the ditch. Add the constant alarms, beep, and “we are watching” aspect of their safety measures. But the real disappointment is that at 8000 miles and four visits to the dealer they still can’t resolve the uneven back cushion of the drivers seat (painful - seriously) nor the constant rattle from the drivers door/wheel area.

nice car but has mechanical problems

It has a problem where the battery and fan will keep running after I turn off the car. I have brought it into the dealership but they were unable to help. Also one of the back sensors kept going out which lead to my car not alerting me about hazards.

New Hyundai tuscon

Still under 2K miles and experienced a lot of issues. Engine died, wipers don’t work, electrical systems easily negatively affected by the cold, finger print sensors only work 50% of the time.

Mostly love it

I really love my 2025 Hyundai Tucson. It's a great vehicle so far. Originally, I was looking at the Ioniq 5 EV, but we found the seats left something to be desired for long distance road trips, so we pivoted and looked at other cars at that point. We ended up coming back to Hyundai. However, the driver attention camera is a bit of a nuisance. I had to buy lighter tinted sunglasses so the car did not disengage my cruise control. Also, I do not need a coffee break every time I look around. I do keep my head on a swivel, looking for deer or pigs on the side of the road since I live in a rural area. The programming is a bit over the top in this regard in my opinion. I also would like NOT to be required to put in a password or use my fingerprint every time I get into the car. That is annoying. Otherwise, we are still happy customers at slightly less than 5,000 miles on the engine.

Fabulous Car!

I have never had a car with such beauty, efficiency, smooth ride, and power getting on the highway. It has great visibility and a wonderful back-up camera. The steering wheel and seat heaters heat up quickly -- even in the cold winter climate I live in. The only thing I would like you to know about it is how hard it is to get the driver's side windshield wiper up and away for washing the window or clearing snow away. It catches on the top of the hood of the car. Perhaps I don't know the trick for that. I'd love any suggestions.

Unsafe Low Beam Headlights—Daytime Only Vehicle—BEWARE

Aside from the fact that it’s not safe to drive at night, I like my Tucson Limited HEV. The high beams are great, but the low beams are truly a safety hazard. They illuminate a very defined area with no diffused light beyond a lighted rectangle and the distance of illumination is estimated to be about 200’. I live in a neighborhood with no street lights. When stopped at an intersection, the low beams illuminate a distance that is about twice the width of the intersection—safe enough when not moving, but totally unsafe at any speed. When moving, the illuminated rectangle bounces all over whenever you go uphill, downhill, hit the slightest bump…I can’t believe a vehicle with such awful headlights is allowed to be sold. Fortunately we have another vehicle for night driving. Had I test-driven the Tucson at night, I’d never have purchased it.

Overall great vehicle.

Seats and driving experience are very very comfortable, app climate start such a help as well as camera system. Husband appreciates the hybrid aspects. Neither of us like how high windows are, nearly impossible to reach bank drive through and others. Would have preferred grab bar on windshield/door jamb not above and behind passenger.. Air vents in wrong place on drivers side, just blows on hand and steering wheel and all the others do not tilt enough nor have a regulator in them (not just a fan speed). Would be better for back gate button to be inside cargo area, I am short and can barely reach it nor the handle to pull down the gates. It would be extremely more convenient for the gate button in the driver area to be in the center so the passenger can also reach it instead of at the drivers left knee. I am surprised that the car does not have a tighter turning radius. My old caravan made tighter circles.
