Wonderful ride with some missed feature opportunities

This car is a joy to drive! Great pick up for a 1.6L engine and, compared to my 2015 gas Tucson, the milage is awesome! The tech is also amazing. I love the wrap around dash screen! So, that being said, there are what I feel for me, some short comings. First, I noticed there are no warnings sounds when backing up or pulling forward. That is, if I'm pulling into a parking spot, I have an expectation of a warning sound if say, there is a pylon below my line of sight. Same would go for backing up. I know there is a camera, but I would have liked an audible warning as well. The other shortcoming for me is the info screen on the dash cluster. The screen will provide mileage and travel stats as well as directions and lane safety. However, I would have liked to have had a media screen as well. My preference for navigation is Google Maps. It would have been nice to have Google Maps on the media screen and have an info window showing my media choice (i.e., Sirius, radio, etc.). Lastly, I would have preferred the song playing over the radio station. The placement right now shows the radio station on top in large display with the song playing below it in a very small display which is very hard to see when driving. As I said before, and despite these little issues, this car is really a joy to drive. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Love My Tucson!

With nearly 4000 miles that I’ve driven my new Tucson, I love it. It handles vey well and is very comfortable to drive and ride in.

Love almost everything about the car. Except the loud wind noise sound

The wind noise is extremely annoying. Hyundai service said they cannot find anything abnormal with the car. Which means the loud wind sound is normal or a manufactureing defect they have no fix for.

Glad I chose this vehicle over the Honda, Toyota, and Mazda small SUV

Pros It’s very quiet inside. I am able to make phone calls in areas that I cannot without the support that the Car provides. I like the controls on this steering wheel. It has a lot of knee room in the backseat. The interior is very attractive. The large skylight makes traveling through canyons have real experience. The heated seats are great! The back up camera screen projection is very clear. I love the double screen controls. It looks so futuristic. Cons The heating in the air conditioning are pretty anemic. I’m not crazy about the way it corners. It doesn’t have as much storage space in the front as my 2005 crv. The charger pad makes my phone really hot. The seats are attractive, but you cannot slide across on them well, so it’s hard for older people to get in without losing their pants. It would be nice to have some hooks in the cargo area for grocery and other bags. The key is awfully big, and expensive to replace. Some of the Nanny controls are really annoying. The section of the survey below has pros and cons, so these are repeated in that section as well

Seems like a cool concept vehicle

Car is fancy and has some useful features, but there are some things to be aware of. First, transition between electric and gas is sometimes rough, even while maintaining a consistent speed and accelerator pressure. Sometimes the safety features react in inappropriately, especially when there is a car parked the wrong direction on the side of the road. The build quality on the sunroof can be iffy— mine rattles sometimes.

Great vehicle except the function for inattentive driver.

The Honda Tucson Hybrid is a great car with a lot of great features. However, the inattentive driver feature is a hazard! It goes off way too often. Even your book states if your too tall or to short or if you wear sunglasses or if the sun too bright it can effect it. The sudden sound of the alert is distracting and dangerous! And worst of all you can’t turn it off without losing the forward braking alert, which is a great feature. And I don’t want a loud alert telling me to take a break especially when driving less than 2 hours! Please fix these features the alert is startling and distracting me from my driving!

Good ride

Like the smooth comfortable ride and highway driving safety options. However, transitioning from a 2012 KIA Sorrento to the Tucsonhybrid was initially confusing with all the many electronic features. Although I purchased the convenience package, I was disappointed to learn that it did not include the collapsable side view mirrors or the automatic garage door opening features.

Love the drive of the Tucson

We love the vehicle, the drive, the comfort are wonderful. Our only issue is that we have a Powertrain needs attention warning on the app. We have been into Gettel about it and they say nothing is wrong with the vehicle it is the app over which they have no control. So, if you have no control over your app please do not push it as part of the sale as it causes no end of confusion. We do not know whether to believe it or not.
