Best Mid-Size SUV

This is my second Palisade. I like the way it drives and the comfort it provide in daily drives and road trips. Also, I feel like I am driving a luxury car. :) I did recommended the Palisade to a coworker. She changed from a Mercedes to a Palisade Calligraphy within 3 weeks.

Not good

Recalled for the back seat so I took it to the dealer. They said it’s done, then afterwards back seat broken. Not folding the third seats. Dealer said it’s my fault. What did I do? Nothing. And besides, parts are back ordered. They said they don’t it will take. I would never recommend this car to anyone. Oh my first oil change was also not good experience. It was only 5k mileage and oil was leaking already. They had to reseal the gasket or whatever. It took two days and I had to rent a car myself because dealer wouldn’t offer a loaner.

Great luxury vehicle! Missing some things!

Love our v6 AWD Pali Cali! Just missing a few things. 1st needs programed for better proformance. Need to be in sport mode just to have better response and acceleration. 2nd should have had power telescoping steering wheel! It is a must for the lazy boy seats and auto wheel return when door is opened. Big miss here on the Palisade. This should be the top of the line yet I have to go to the KIA Telluride to get that option. Now on another note. All the recalls. I am told I have to do them all to get the 3rd row wiring harness done and the front air flap system harness replaced as well. I refuse to do the OTA update where I lose the auto folding seat option. My wife is handicapped and I need to be able to control the folding seats. From the infotainment system. We have no kids to supervise and my 3rd row has been down since I bought the vehicle. I have called Hyundai and addressed my concerns on being forced to lose that feature. We should have the choice to turn that auto fold feature off at the infotainment system. People with unsupervised children can turn that feature off and lock it out. Or sell it in the locked out position and maybe have to have authorization to turn that feature on after signing a liability release. Just a thought on my part. Other than that we love our Pali just the way it is. Just to note I purchased the 5 year maintenance PKG and my first oil change at the dealer has resulted in my vehicle being in for service as we speak. The oil cap was left off after the oil change and my engine bay was covered in oil after about 400 miles of driving. I can only pray there has been no engine damage. I did have a check engine light come on the day of the oil change and went straight back to the dealer and was told it was the gas cap. Here the oil cap was off and they still didn't catch it. I only have 1000 miles on my vehicle so the dealership is not off to a good start. This is my first Hyundai after being a life long Ford customer. Jury is still out.
