2002 bmw x5
good quality vehicle, adequately comfortable, nice and powerful, mileage as claimed. But annoying door-unlocking system, hard to reset maintenance alerts, power side mirrors do not move consistently. One worrying problem: despite regular maintenance, at about 110,000 miles I had a complete hydraulic brake failure, luckily at a very low speed, and the handbrake still worked. The mechanic told me a brake line under the car had corroded (car is based in Minneapolis) and leaked all fluid out. I like that the overall appearance hasn't changed much from 2002, showing its an attractive design.
