Great sales staff and inventory, horrible financing and attention to detail.
If it weren't for your saleman Danny Macias and the vehicle itself (2022 Santa Crus SEL Premium), I would rate my recent experience a 0. The short version is that your sales manager and especially the finance department really messed this up beyond belief. I had a monthly number and down payment in mind ($700/month, down payment of $2500)when I went to the dealership. Danny did a magnificent job of being efficient, handling any objection I had, and closing the sale...BRAVO Danny. The problems started with the sales manager Louis (sp?) and then especially the finance department. The numbers I presented and the numbers they came back with were pretty far apart, but to be honest, I was ok with it. Louis came back with $800ish/month and $4000 down...I was ok with that and was ready to make the deal. He then came back and told me with an extra $1500 down (making the total down $5500) I could get the payment down below $800 and closer to $700. This was an ideal monthly payment, though it would take pretty much ALL of my savings to make it happen. I shook hands with Louis and Danny and accepted the deal. I then went in to the finance department and signed all applicable documents and left the dealership. I love the vehicle! However, I was contacted less than a week later that the finance department made a mistake and the terms I was given would not be honored unless I came up with an ADDITIONAL $2000 down, or accepted a monthly payment of $900!!! BOTH of those numbers would have been deal breakers when I was originally in the dealership and I would have walked away with my former car and my savings. At this point, I felt I had NO alternative since I must have a reliable vehicle (I am a retired Marine and a single dad to a disabled adult child). I am not sure I am going to be able to maintain my budget and stability with this atrocious monthly payment now. I may be back at the dealership in a few months to have the new vehicle repossessed at this monthly rate.
