Come to your own conclusion (My story below)
I took my 2016 Ford Escape in because it is under warranty, and I didn't tell them this, but I am also a mechanic, mostly on older vehicles, but still mechanically inclined and also ASE certified, here's the issue, I dropped it off once and they kept it for a week to diagnose it, ended having to go get it because I needed my vehicle, and they hadn't even spoke with the warranty company and kept on with the lies, They said they had to contact the warranty company but never did, fast forward a couple of weeks, They said they were ready whenever I was to drop it off, we dropped it off and they had it for 13 days, 13, and said the problem was the fuel pump, I could have changed out anywhere between 3 and 5 engines in that time, we were without a vehicle for 13 days because of a fuel pump change, then they had the exhaust cut off to get to it, Now I have tried and tried to be understanding and patient, if i hadn't, I would have snatched my car from there on day 3, Now while I am actually typing this review, I got a call back from TK about this exact issue, Talked to Johnny, Now I will tell you this, He is polite, he did apologize, The thing is, I just got off the phone with the warranty company and they jumped all over me because they said they never authorized any repairs, Johnny says they just fix them if they are under like 6 or 700 bucks and then they send in the claim, Silver Rock says that is not true, they said they heard from them once, then never heard from them again, so they closed the claim, So now all together, They had it for 3 weeks, left me and my family with no vehicle, I was promised it back Friday, then it led to Saturday, then I was promised it would be finished Monday, Then Finally Tuesday at closing, I was able to pick it up, and when I picked it up, my engine light was on for something totally different, my back seats were never bolted back in, the covers were laying in the back floor board, and I had to search for the bolts I found laying underneath the seats, They also told me they would do a free oil change for me to make it up to me, The thing they don't know though was I am the last one that did the oil change and it was only a month ago or so, so I am going to pause this just to go see if the oil filter is the same one i put on, I'll BRB, Just as I thought, The oil was never changed, Unless they use the exact same oil filter I did, and I don't think it's likely, So anyways, When I had spoke with him a few minutes ago, he told me i could bring the car by Monday morning and DROP IT OFF, and he would fix the seats, lol Ummm yeah, that ain't happening, I am taking it to the Ford Dealership, My deductible will be a couple hundred bucks, but it's very well worth the piece of mind and good mechanic. The reason I chose TK Auto service to begin with, was because when i researched them, they had a ton of good reviews, Now I really believe a lot of those reviews are fake, because my experience was horrible, I quit working on vehicles for a long time because i just got burned out, but i think from now on, i will just take care of my own. Good luck if your looking for a good decent repair shop, but do yourself a favor, and look elsewhere. avoid the frustration and headache
