Fraudulent Repairs, Racist Remarks & Predatory Practices - STAY AWAY
I brought my car to Solo Motorsports - Norcross specifically to have my steering wheel reprogrammed or a sensor fixed to correct its position. I made this request clearly multiple times, including in my initial visit—as they claim everything is recorded. I approved only this specific service after speaking directly with Keenan Cole. Instead of performing the requested work, they went ahead and replaced a solenoid, a completely different repair that I did not authorize. When I followed up, I was met with rudeness and disrespect.

To add further frustration, my car has a brand-new engine with low miles, making the unauthorized solenoid replacement unnecessary and wasn’t needed at this moment—especially when the actual issue, the steering wheel/sensors, was ignored and are more important. To make matters worse, the employee told me and my mother, "I’m not dealing with you type of people," a blatantly racist remark referring to us as Black customers. This was said in response to us seeking clarity—not even a discount—on a job I did not ask for in the first place.

They overcharged me for labor, billing me for 7 hours even though their own notes state the job took only 30 minutes. Initially quoted me a little under $800, but charged $1,097.74 without explanation. Left my car dirty inside, which was not the condition it was in when I dropped it off. Became annoyed simply because my mother called beforehand to ask for clarification. This experience was not only unprofessional but felt racially motivated and predatory.

To add further evidence of their deceptive practices, Solo Motorsports initially tried to claim I needed a brand-new engine—a blatant lie, since my car already has a new, low-mileage engine installed. When I refused this unnecessary and fraudulent upsell, they proceeded to ignore my actual request (reprogramming the steering wheel/sensor) and instead performed an unauthorized solenoid replacement—another repair I never approved. This confirms a clear pattern of dishonesty: first, they attempted to scare me into an outrageous, fake repair, and when that failed, they forced through a different unauthorized service. Their actions go beyond incompetence; this is a deliberate scam targeting customers for work they don’t need.

Also upcharged me for an aftermarket part—charged me $221.60 for a part that was not from BMW and only costs $100 online. Not only did they leave the inside of my car dirty but they also left my undercover of my car unscrewed, showing their complete lack of care for my property. They took my car on an unauthorized joyride, using up my gas without refilling it. They also talked badly about my car, saying the front end looks horrible and I should just blow up the car—completely unprofessional behavior from a so-called "professional" shop.

Now, after all this, their only response is to call my frustration "unfortunate" while still refusing to address the original issue with my steering wheel that I brought the car in for. They performed zero requested repairs and did not fix anything, charged me over $1,000 for unauthorized work, disrespected me and my family, damaged my car, and now won't take accountability. I'm filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and warning all potential customers to avoid this dishonest, racist business at all costs.
