During your visit, our team completed your New York State Inspection and replaced your serpentine belt that was cracked. We also noted that your oil change service was over due based on age and that both your engine air filter and cabin air filter had not been changed since January 2022 which are both dirty/clogged.
We understand that these recommendations may feel overwhelming, but they're critical for the health and safety of your vehicle. Our intention is to never to come across as unfriendly, but to provide honest guidance. Even when a vehicle isnt driven often, or doesnt meet the 3,000-5,000 mile mark, oil can break down and absorb moisture over time, which leads to harmful build up.

While we appreciate your review we do find it surprising.
Our team provided a thorough diagnostic, explained all findings in detail, and respected your decision to not move forward with the additional repairs due to your financial situation. At no point did you have any interactions with our mechanics, as they very rarely speak with customers, nor do they speak with customers on the phone, all customer interactions are with the service manager, service advisor, or the owner himself. In your instance you dealt with our service advisor who spoke with you on the phone and in person.
During those conversations, she explained that after completing the replacement of both left and right front strut assemblies and rear shocks, she personally test drove the vehicle and confirmed significant road noise coming from your tires. You were advised that the tires were scalloped and needed replacement. We clearly noted that while they didn't pose an immediate risk, replacing them sooner rather than later would improve your ride quality.
You expressed your concerns about your finances and it was understood that you could not afford new tires at this time, you were not pressured to spend additional money, but you were advised that sooner rather than later you did need to purchase them. At no point were you rushed or dismissed, and certainly no one here operates as a "zombie". We took the time to explain all of the diagnostic findings, prioritized what was necessary, and assisted in processing the warranty coverage to minimize your out of pocket expense. We have both audio and video coverage of these interactions.
