Transmission World was opened in 1974. Many people may remember the first location on Highway 97 across from the old Mountain View Mall. In 1998, Transmission World found a new home in the newly constructed shop located on Service Road. Scott Wyke bought Transmission World from its previous owner and blended it with his thriving General Transmission World was opened in 1974. So far so good!
The team was great. I took it in for an oil leak (which I paid a hefty fee to someone else who couldn’t fix it) and these guys had it fixed by end of day. Really appreciate it!

Quick thorough great service!

Always excellent!
This shop has done a good amount of work for me and I've never been disappointed. The only time they've ever told me to "do extra" is when it was something I genuinely needed or would save me money in the long run. Can not recommend highly enough!

I called a national chain auto repair for my car problem, I was told they couldn’t do transmission work but recommended SP Automotive Repair. SP was helpful and professional every step of the process. Turns out I didnt need a new transmission. The inspection and testing didnt find an issue. Never upsold me. Very respectable staff. Lacey is awesome!
My car started smoking and making some weird noises last week. I called SP auto and spoke with Lacey, I told her the issue and that we still had a warranty on the car. She told me we would make space to look at my car whenever I made it in and review my warranty with me. When I didn’t make it in the time we discussed, she called to make sure everything was alright. We ended up towing in my car on a Tuesday for a new alternator and by Wednesday afternoon my car was fixed and ready. I so appreciate Lacey’s ability to communicate and show how caring she is about someone else and their car. We have and will continue to go to SP Auto for all our vehicle needs!
