My 15 Equinox quit coming off 696 ramp. I called AAA and they sent 696 Towing. I ask to be towed home. Driver says let me tow it to my shop at 696 & Gratiot. Get an estimate. Widowed woman alone, I agreed. Manager at time was Travis. He said engine blown and common in these engines. 5K and had a new (refurbished) engine in 2 days. My son looked it over. Travis told us 6 mo warranty. Was happy. Over next few months had nothing but problems. Travis always said it was fixed. 3 weeks before warranty expired engine blew. So, I was assured another (2nd) engine was put in. Stalled pulling out of their driveway. Brought it back and now they said I need to pay for a new catalytic converter. My son ran diagnosics and told them no. Just put in another engine. Travis ghosted now. My car is still sitting there after 3 days. Manager Jim ignored me when I came in to ask why. I have video. He was nasty and rude including language. Very unprofessional. Lied again today when I ask about getting my car in. I must say the bays and parking lot was full. Customers in there with returns and complaints. Same as me. Looking like I will have to file a formal complaint against these guys. NEVER LET 696 TOWING TAKE YOU THERE.
