Broke more than a lug stud
While my car was into Ron's Garage they broke one of the lug studs. When Todd (their main front desk guy) told me this I couldn't believe it. He checked their records, and said that this has only happened to my car once before. I checked my own records, and this is the FIFTH time they've broken a lug stud on one of my vehicles. I've heard so many excuses from their shop as to why too - everything from blaming the last shop to work on it (which sometimes was them!), to blaming Subaru or Toyota for having bad studs, to "it just happens". All of this is utter BS. To add insult to injury, they want to charge me $219 to fix a problem that they created. Seriously?

My vehicles have been professionally serviced for nearly 30 years. No other shop has EVER broken a lug stud on any of my vehicles. Not once. When I moved to Ann Arbor Ron's Garage was nearby, so I gave them a shot, and they broke a lug stud on my very first visit for a simple oil change and tire rotation. I should have realized then they were either incompetent or up to something shady. Since moving away from Ann Arbor none of the other shops I've been using has ever broken a lug stud. Not once.

The logic is really quite simple. Either their technicians don't know what they're doing, or they're doing this on purpose to scam people, or they simply don't care what they do to people's cars. As long as they can charge them over-the-top prices, who cares? Whatever the case, there is no excusing their actions and their attitude.

They broke my car, they won't take any ownership of it, and they want to charge me to fix it. No. They broke more than a lug stud - they broke trust. They will never see any of my vehicles ever again, and I recommend you stay away too.

Top Notch!
Todd and Stephanie at Ron’s garage did an amazing job making sure my daughter had her new tires quickly and safely installed on her car.
There was no remnants of their work left on the inside or the outside of the car. And keeping a car clean, is something that we take very seriously and our family.
I will continue to use any and all of their services from now on. My daughter attends college at the University of Michigan and we live in rural Wyoming.
So it was important to me to have a hometown feel to the company we used. They felt small town and gave us individual attention. We are used to back home.
I would recommend calling Ron’s anytime and every time!!!
That, even with the extra mile and checked her spare tire and made sure it was safe and inflated to the proper air pressure.
Thanks, you guys you’ve earned a trust!!!!

First time customer. Shuttle service was great.
My requested service inspection was very thorough. Todd explained everything. The critical repairs were done and the car was ready as we discussed even when another part had to be ordered late in the day. And the coupon from the Observer helped reduce the cost.
I am very pleased!

Unable to complete service requested
Dropped my Kia off the night before for a 8 am appointment for an oil change and winter tire installation with the expectation that they would work on the vehicle early in the day. Received a call at 2:35 pm that there were no lug nuts for the winter tires. It took us a few minutes to figure out that they had been misplaced and that we would need to buy new ones. It was too late for them to get replacements so the primary reason for the appointment was not completed. If I had known earlier I could have picked up the needed lug nuts which were available at Belle Tire. I had the lug nuts in my hands at 4:30 but the shop closed early that day so I had to have someone else change the tires for me. I have used Ron's for many years but my most recent few experiences have left me wondering if I should look for another garage.

Amazing service
The service was fabulous. I got a ride back and from home. And the car came back home happy with renewed adjusted wheels, no limping, and it stopped complained.
Did I mentioned it was 1/4 the price of the dealership?
We would definitely come back!

100k mile tune-up
2016 Nissan Versa Note. Never serviced before. Mostly preventive maintenance. Replace fluids, belts, spark plugs, battery and front brakes. They emailed me photos of things that were bad, which I appreciate. Good job. I’ve used Ron’s Garage for three different cars. Always satisfied.

Sensor check
Had good service here for years. Disappointed this time to add $65 to my tab for a brake repair. Light came on right after the repair, but since it couldn't be definitively tied to the repair, I had to pay to have it reprogrammed. Reprogramming seems to have worked this time, so that's good.

This was my first experience with Ron's Auto. I found their staff to be friendly and welcoming. I waited 1 1/2 weeks for an appointment to have the ignition repaired. On the day of my appointment, I paid to tow my car to their garage and was told that they will call when they have information. At 3:00 PM, they close at 5:00 PM, I received a lengthy list of things they believe should be done. I asked them about the repair that I waited for and was told that they don't know when it will be replaced and that I owe $185. for the inspection they performed instead of the repair. They are friendly and cordial but you may not receive a repair which is the reason they solicit business. I have noticed others who left reviews with the same experience.
