Hertrich Hyundai worst service; Go to Piazza Hyundai
Do NOT take your Hyundai to Hertrich! They don’t honor Federal Warranty programs and don’t provide good service in a timely and professional manner. My Sonata was at Hertrich for ONE month for a simple steering column assembly that took TWO hours to repair. The service writer originally handling my car was let go and NO ONE picked up his work for exactly one week until I stopped by to check on parts getting ordered, since NO ONE in service dept returns phone calls. In addition to not returning my calls, they lied about not being able to get the parts; when I tried to help by finding them online, I was told that they don’t use “after market” parts despite my offer to waive any warranties and since I was now into a rental car for 3 weeks and $900! “Coincidentally” that same day they just happened to locate the parts at not one but two locations in Ohio. They also advised that the Electronic Control Unit was covered by the Federal Warranty Program since my car was just 6 yrs old and less than 80k miles. They retracted on this claiming that the ECU wasn’t covered! Service manager Tom Kitts was NO help; when I brought all of these issues to the GM, Mike, he stated that he would discount the cost of the repairs. NO SURPRISE when he retracted on this too! This place was voted “Best Service Customer Satisfaction Dealer in the Eastern Region” - someone has a warped sense of humor and/or they voted for themselves.
DO NOT HAVE YOUR HYUNDAI SERVICED AT HERTRICH. GO TO PIAZZA HYUNDAI, they actually return calls and don’t tell lies!!!

Avalyne said she chose not to evalutate if she was satisfied with the quality of the repair because there was no body work done on her vehicle. She only had a clear coat painted on to her vehicle and a protective coating put on her upholstery. She added that the people were very nice and she was satisfied with the results.

Don said that his vehicle was not ready when promised due to the fact that it took a couple months. He chose not to elaborate about the length of the delay. It took that long because they had to wait for the insurance company and they had to make sure they had the correct parts. He stated he did not feel like he was adequately informed because they did not call very often. He would liked to be called once a week.

Rolf said his vehicle was 4 days later than promised because the insurance company did not get the check in the mail soon enough. Rolf also said he is always treated well at this business and they do great work, and that is why he trusts this business with any repairs he needs.
