Non responsive dealership
We took my wife's 2020 Kona into Premier Hyundai per the following letter to their general manager. Just like their parts department, he has yet to respond (10/20/2022). I have subsequently contacted Hyundai of North America whose customer service department is attempting to make contact, so far without success.

Dear Mr. Homen:

I am writing to you in the hope that you can be of assistance with the following problem I am experiencing with your dealership.

On August 12, 2022, I took my wife’s 2020 Kona into your service department for the ECM recall and the fact that the left front turn signal assembly allows water to enter. The ECM recall was promptly handled and the work order indicated that the turn signal assembly was faulty and recommended a new unit. A copy of the work order is enclosed for your reference.

Given the known supply chain problems, I didn’t follow up until September 21, 2022, figuring that I had waited long enough. When I called the parts department, the phone rang several times, the voicemail box answered and said leave a message followed by the message that the voicemail box is full, can’t leave a message.

I called several times on September 23, 2022 and either got no answer or the call was answered by the Chevrolet parts department. The man I spoke to said the phone rang in both departments. I asked him to transfer me to the Hyundai parts department which he did and the phone just rang unanswered.

I continued to call and continued to get the Chevrolet parts department and, eventually, I was able to speak to the Hyundai department. I explained my problem and after a long search, he was able to find the work order on the computer (I had provided both our customer number and the work order number). He said that the part was ordered on August 13, 2022. I asked him if the part had arrived. He said he didn’t know but would research it and call me back.

It is now September 29, 2022. I think I have been more than patient but, having no success with the parts department, I must ask for your assistance and I thank you in advance.
