Received Notice for FREE Recall. Got a tune-up also - $1416.25!!!!!!!!!!
I am soooo furious!!!!!! Got notices in the mail about an anti-theft recall - went in on the scheduled day but there were no Hyundai specialists working so made an appointment for the FREE work to be done the following week. Wad told it should take around 20-30 minutes if there weren't many people coming in. Had to leave the car because they didn't know how long it would take and my husband suggested getting a 60k tune-up while there. I left messages throughout the day on the direct line given in a text but never heard anything back. I called the main line about 4:40 as I knew they were closing soon and finally talked to Glenn who said the car was almost done and they would send the driver back to collect my husband and daughter as I was still working. I can't tell you how livid I am to find out that a tune-up that would have cost me $70 at the Ford dealership had cost $1,416.25! That is insane! The Ford Dealership would have called to let me know if any additional work needed to be done and I would have had to approve it before them starting. Glenn actually tried to charge for the Recall Work too but my husband showed him one of the cards saying it is supposed to be free. What a SCAM. I will NEVER EVER EVER go back to Foundation Hyundai. This is an absolutely horrible rip-off. I'm fuming. Tried to call the General manager but got passed to a voicemail message that just said "leave a message" - don't even know if it was the manager or just anybody in the office. So completely unprofessional. STAY AWAY!
