Buyer Beware
I had an unfortunate experience with my purchase of a new Elantra Hybrid at this dealership. Everything went well with the purchase and financing and the test drive. However, all along the way I was given to believe that the vehicle had the Bluelink feature that allows for communication with your phone and other features. The salesman, Yusuf Elias, and the finance person were extolling the feature to me during our discussions. I was even signed up for a Bluelink account by the salesman and received an email that very day, April 5, reminding me to activate my Bluelink account.
I was unable to activate the account. When I called the help service for Bluelink, I discovered that the model I had purchased did not have that feature. Imagine my disappointment that one of the features that had induced us to purchase the vehicle did not exist.
I let the salesman know of my displeasure and was told that he would have his supervisor speak to me. On a follow up he told me that person was not in and not expected to be in the next day. I also asked for a new customer survey to fill out that would take into account this experience, and was told that a supervisor would contact me about that. As of this review, no such contact has occurred. I guess their attitude is caveat emptor at this point.
Be careful about what you are told at North Freeway Hyundai, and don’t expect any effort at redress if you are misled.
