Deferred maintenance IS maintenance!
For many of us, taking the family car in for repairs requires a complete reshuffle of calendar and finances. So, time and money are precious. Our 3-car family has made the trek to the NDA shop on Recker recently. Each time we have received xlnt service, from appt reminders to vehicle diagnosis to estimate to repairs to pickup and pay. Jaime and the NDA crew are my choice for Mechanic(s) of the Year 2025, and it's only April.

Spoke to Randy. He said took the vehicle there, they were unable to find a transmission for it, they don't rebuild transmissions. They called around and found it at another place, they weren't charged at all for the diagnosis.

They were really nice and did a good job changing my oil and checking things over. Was told my battery was low. Was told they topped off all my fluids. When l got home I check my battery and saw that my battery was really low on fluid.l thought my battery would have been topped off too. Maybe I was wrong and they don’t do that part of it.

We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you found our team nice and that we did a good job with your oil change. Regarding your battery, as part of our complimentary inspection the technician load tests the battery and includes the results in the inspection report with a photo.  The battery failed the test and it's recommended the battery be replaced soon. We do not add battery fluid, as most vehicle batteries are "maintenance-free", and often sealed with no removable caps.  I'm sorry if there was a miscommunication - We're always happy to clarify any services we provide, so feel free to reach out anytime if you have questions! We strive to provide a five-star experience each and every service.

Honest service
I’ve been here a few times for various reasons with different vehicles. I feel like the staff is honest and fair in evaluating my cars.

The most recent time was a little more expensive (mostly labor charges) than I was expecting. It costs what it costs and I pay, but I can’t say for sure that some of the charges shouldn’t have been combined. Example let’s say I need two parts replaced - if they’re taking off something at the top of the engine to get to a part below, am I being charged twice for taking of the same part if there is also another part that would would require removal of the part at the top to get to the part underneath. It’s hard to tell, but I was charged full labor for all repairs made.

I declined a couple charges that I can do on my own because the labor was so expensive.

We're glad to hear that you've found our staff honest and fair during your visits.  Finding a mechanic you trust is golden.  It's always our goal to be transparent about the services we provide. As for concerns with labor charges, that's not what we like to hear.  For future visits please let us know any concerns or questions you have with the written estimate, we will always take time to explain each itemized charge so you are fully aware and comfortable prior to approving work.  We would be happy to go over your last invoice with you if you still have concerns; you can reach out to customer.service@newdimensionsauto.com, or reply to the text thread from your last visit.   

In response to your concerns over labor being expensive, our labor rate is anywhere from 10% to 50% less than our competitors, and many independent shops will not or cannot work on the same vehicles as us.  We charge per the book, which is a standard Labor Guide from Mitchell1.
