Untrustworthy Service and/or Poor Quality ProductPoor
For the second time in four years, a routine pre-travel checkup turned into repairs that totalled big bucks. My CTS just reached 70k miles and the checkup turned into a nightmare of cascading problems with a leaking oil pan, broken water pump, etc., that became a $6.5k repair bill. Less than five years ago, my CTS, with less than 40k miles on the odometer, "needed" more than $5k in repairs. My CTS has been regularly serviced and well treated, so either the car is a shoddy GM product or the need for the repairs has been forced.
