Called AAA to have car towed. The company that responded was Kirksville Autoworks.
They picked the vehicle up from location A and left it running on the truck for the entire tow from point A to Point B.
The car had to be towed because it doesn't have a water pump and there is no coolant in the vehicle.
When we told him about the issue, the driver said that the vehicle "is under temp." My husband had to point out that since there's no coolant, there is no fluid to actually give an accurate temperature.
We have filed a claim with AAA. But don't be surprised if your car needs more work after it gets towed than it did before it got towed.
And dont worry.. we did get the car moved from the middle street where he left blocking the road. We moved it into the driveway with the help of a neighbor pushing it.
My daughter is a student at Truman State and Thursday, January 17th her car wouldn't start, we tried to jump it and it wouldn't work. The next day I called and Kirksville Auto works was able to tow the vehicle at a reasonable rate, diagnose the problem and install a new battery all while she was in class. It was all very helpful since I live out of town and her student-athlete schedule is usually very busy. They have repaired her vehicle before and always provide a reasonable estimate.
