He also stated that she had a rear suspension issue, and that her brake rotors and brake pads where finished (which had about 22000 kilometers on them, and she does mostly highway driving) The total amount of his estimate was close to $5500.00, for a 2010 subcompact car. We told him that we decided to have the car towed back home 300 kilometers, and have our local regular mechanic assess the situation. Our mechanic went over the car, and fixed the brake line leakage for about $300. He said her brakes were in very good condition, and that there was one caliper that was seized, and he replaced that. The other things that Auto Service Kingston quoted were not things that had to be repaired immediately, and to simply keep an eye on those things, and that she could safely continue to drive the car.
