Tried to destroy the engine in my new vehicle.
I was driving out of the dealership parking lot after a routine oil change when I heard a noise under the hood. Then, the check engine light came on. I switched the car off, got out, and found oil everywhere. Turns out they installed the oil filter incorrectly. After two attempts and another batch of oil everywhere, they finally got it right. They sprayed the car off (still smells like oil) and handed me the keys. The check engine light was still on! They reset it, and now I’m driving a car with no trust that it will last.

Visited for service on 2/2/22: 20 Hyundai Santa FE. First visit (purchased vehicle here) there customer service lounge - dirty & a small dog came walking thru & mooching for food (was eating breakfast at the time) oil change & tire rotation was 50 minutes; was told by service advisor that my vehicle was finished that they were pulling out my vehicle. While outside & waiting about 5 minutes for my vehicle - noticed that the cardboard box that holds clear plastic seat covers & floor protectors was covered with bird crap (a years worth (note: there were no seat or floor protectors in my vehicle - thank goodness) Also, the side wall of the service Dept entry was covered in Cobb webs & filth along with storing a Mop Bucket & Mop. There’s a barbecue grill stored on the other exterior (under awning); Did not receive a copy of the services performed. Also, made note to Marci (service advisor) when initially coming in the door for service that their was an engine clatter everytime I start the vehicle when it’s cold & initially starting for the day. When Marci advised me my Santa FE was ready & they’re going to be pulling it out - had to press her on the engine clatter (“oh, they checked codes & everything is fine) Marci said next time come In - may need to drop off night before so they can check it out when cold. After leaving & returning home, I called John O’Neil Johnson to speak with Hyundai Service Dept (receptionist answering the phone at the Toyota Dealership) mmm..hmm & placed me on hold (Is that the best they can do before placing a call on hold ?? THIS WAS MY First time to visit for service after the sale (previously purchased new.. 2013 Sonata, 2016 Santa FE and at present 2020 Santa FE). Have always used Firestone - as they are prompt, professional & diligent in advising of next service AND they check filters & advise of need to replace. (Note: When I purchased the 2020 Santa FE they included the first 4 oil changes free and at 30K miles decided what the heck - it’s free oil change.. Have been using Firestone & I will return back to them.. .)
Bottomline at first Blush - The service area & customer service area is unkempt, the Service Advisor Marci lacks the professional comportment in her position that encourages patronage. The service experience after the sale is substandard.

Custom items removed from my car
Service was completed but custom valve stem covers were removed from my car and replaced with plain ones. They claimed they didn't do it yet air was put in all four tires. Didn't offer to replace.

called and spoke with customer of concern, inspected in attempts to find missing caps. none found, purchased new caps informed customer of when they are to arrive and will call her for install

Poor Quality of Service and a Filthy Dirty Facility.
I love my Tucson , but the lack of quality, trust and knowledge of the service department personnel leaves much to be desired. The cost of a standard service has doubled in six (6mo.) months for no apparent reason and no explanation has been given as to why the price has doubled.
The entire Dealership is filthy dirty , both inside and out ! Junk is laying all over the outside of the dealership and I have never seen it cleaned up in all the times my vehicle has been in for repair or service. I feel like I've been lied to on many occasions and can no longer trust John O Neil Johnson Hyundia personnel to service or make repairs on my vehicle

Was not honest about what was done to my vehicle
I do not trust any dealership that is not going to really do the things on the check list that they said they did. I was lied too and can never really trust this dealership again I paid a lot for the gold warranty also just to make sure that my vehicle was taken care of properly by a certified well trained employee.
