We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and truly regret that we didn’t meet your expectations. Our goal is always to clearly communicate and thoroughly address the concerns our customers bring in, and we understand how frustrating it must feel when that doesn’t happen.

In your case, we performed a comprehensive diagnostic on your 1985 vehicle, which came in with multiple issues, including one where the car would not turn off. During our inspection, we found that the fuse box was wet, and we also discovered that the car did not have a thermostat installed—both of which can contribute to drivability and smog issues. We recommended a tune-up and thermostat installation to help resolve these problems, but those services were declined.

The only repairs authorized were the oil pan gasket and rack and pinion replacement. While we understand the primary concern may not have been resolved, we did move forward with the work that was approved by you. We also want to note that California’s smog requirements are very strict, especially for older vehicles, and we do our best to guide customers through the process.

We understand your frustration, and we truly value the opportunity to work on classic vehicles, which many shops no longer accept. We believe in supporting customers with older cars and appreciate those who support us in return.
