We bought a 2009 Mustang March 2021, I went alone to inquire about the car. It was high mileage, sounded pretty mean and was a beautiful car.
After talking with the dealer, he made me feel comfortable about the engine, the light was on but it was from the cold air intake. They got around it to inspect it. He assured me it was a decent car, as with any used car you take a chance. Well soon after, the starter started going, then the clutch.
The windows leaked water and puddled the back floor.
They said they would replace the starter and when we brought it in, we were given prices to replace it.
My own fault, we should have had it looked at and I should not have gone alone. But 5 months later the engine is now gone.
I felt taken advantage of, I do get that used cars aren't perfect but c'mon I've never heard of a car from a dealership only lasting 5 months.
I called the other day for the shop to look at it (Sheldon) and they no longer have mechanic's there and asked if they could tow it to St. ALBANS they said they didn't have a tow truck insured to tow vehicles.
Where is the integrity of this dealership.
Its a shame, trusting that you could buy a used decent car and now out $6000 for the car, $1000 for the clutch, $265 for the starter and time, gas and stress.
I would not recommend and if you have gotten a good deal from them, I'm glad you didn't waste your time and money.
