They got me in and out in an afternoon!
I was anticipating a two week wait for them to even look at my car at the dealership, but when Handy’s said they could do the work TODAY and get my car back to me same day, it was a no-brainer.

Went to replace dead battery—new one cost $400!!
Dead battery in parking lot. Young man came immediately from Handy’s S.Burlington & jump started us (v.helpful). Told us we could get a battery quickly at Handy’s downtown Burlington. Took only 20 minutes but cost $400! Should have just gone to an auto parts store but never thought it would be THAT much! Be sure to get an estimate if you go to this service station.

Great service even if you are in another state.
I lent my car to a friend, and she left it in the gym’s parking lot.I was out of the state at this time. They towed my car, which came with a fair price. They also replaced the battery (which they could diagnose as an alternator problem), but they were very honest. They also replaced my key fob battery for free. Awesome!!!

Outstanding Customer Service
I live in South Berwick ME and work construction in Vermont.
The brakes went out on my wife’s car.
I called AAA to have it towed back to Maine.
When the Tow Truck Driver (John) showed up he convinced me that Handy’s could repair the brakes and made a phone call on the spot to have my wife’s car fixed.
This was at 2:00PM on Wednesday. The car was repaired and I picked it up at 2:00PM the next day, Thursday.
This is outstanding customer service.
As long as I work in Vermont I will have Handy,s do any work on my vehicles and will gladly recommend.

Very convenient but poor communication led to overpaying for services
I had my car towed to Handys for an alternator and a battery. I was quoted around $900 (plus a AAA discount) for same-day repairs. When I was called to pick up my car I was told about a last minute repair that was already nearly completed. When I got to the shop, my invoice was around $200 more than what we agreed to on the phone and no AAA discount had been applied. I had to wait until the next day for my invoice to get updated and get my car. I walked out still paying just over $1000 for repairs that had I gone elsewhere, would have been around $200-$300 less (based on my research of how much the parts cost). I figured I was paying for convenience and then it ended up being more money than I agreed to.

They topped off my oil it seems which was a nice gesture, however when I got in my car I realized one of the back doors wasn’t fully latched and wondered if it had sat unlocked all night in a busy area.
