Complete Rip Off
I came in there on 11/14/24 ro#1094530 for an electrical problem with my truck. After renting a car to leave it with you, your service advisor said he worked on it for a while, and you told me I needed to buy a whole new wiring harness for 4,500$. You did not fix anything but charged me 250$. This is not acceptable. I bought a repair manual and fixed the issue in 30 minutes by myself. I told you all the error codes and the components to look at. It was all on the same pin on the PCM all the tech had to do was basic troubleshooting with a manual and volt meter. I am highly unsatisfied and want my money back. If not ill review everywhere on how you tried to rip me off and not fix a thing. Very dissatisfied with your service and Honest one would not be what I would be calling my business.

The Name of the place is misleading
Went here to get an update on our brakes. My wife went in and asked for the initial estimate, and they came back with 1600 for new pads and minor rotor work.

This seemed excessive to me, so we looked at some other places, and they all were much less. Should note that these werent some backward under the table garages, these were reputable, brand name places. We informed them of our multiple other estimates (the one we ultimately chose was for 670 for the same work) and after "talking to the manager" they were able to bring the price down to 1100, but they wouldnt be able to replace the brake fluid...wow. I didnt realize that brake fluid cost 500 bucks.

Looks like that Honest estimate/inspection wasnt.

Another Excellent Experience
Josh and Brad did a fantastic job getting my brakes replaced; they did it in only a few hours. I also think it is very professional that someone calls the next day to see that every thing was done well. Brad also went the extra extra mile to get my car back to me later that day. Top notch group of people working here!

replacement of Mercedes Benz 430ML front light bulb
I was referred to Honest 1 Daytona Shop by a 3rd party on Thursday-Dec. 23rd while on Christmas Vacation. On arrival at the shop, I met a gentleman by name Chad who welcomed me politely and offered to take a look at the car in an effort to quickly replace my car's front light. He made frantic efforts only to discover that it would require a more technical and specialized tools to take-off the old bulb. He advised that I should come back the following day at 10.00am so that his mechanic can take up the matter. On arrival, we discovered that replacing the bulb was very difficult given its location as designed by the manufacturer- Mercedes Benz. The shop leadership was very personate and decided to call the Owner -(Jeff) to take over the matter. He had to check the computer system and obtained a printout to use as a guide to solve the problem. With persistence. professionalism and determination, the job was completely done after well over 1 hour. I was stunned and particularly impressed by these gentlemen and clearly concluded in my mind that I may have to pay at least $100.00 for labor alone. To my greatest surprise, Chad informed me that there would be no charge since I had already bought a new bulb. I was stunned and could not believe their hospitality and honesty. These men demonstrated a high level of integrity and honesty that is unparralled in the industry. I will recommend their services without reservation to anyone and assured them of honest and profound professional service. Just try them and see honesty at its best.

Engine Light Problem, Lean Fuel ?
App. 09:30. On 18 Aug 21: Didn't look at car until 19 Aug 21: after smoke test, was determined to be a Rear Engine Seal leaking, about $2000.00 to fix problem. Upon pick of car there was a dent in drivers door, Jeff said to call thier dent repair man , @ him to call Jeff, hope it gets resolved, No oil on driveway at all, very strange?????

Great Service!
Chad and Jeff very professional. My car was diagnosed and fixed in a short time. Explained exactly the issue and gave me price up front so I knew what to expect.i would recommend them to anybody.

Don't be a sucker
Loved this place when I first started using them but quickly found out how shitty they actually treat people. I did around $4000 with of work to my old truck to keep it running good. Took it in the last time to have new transmission cooler and lines replaced. They recommended I service the transmission while it was there. Never a word from them telling me doing this could cause transmission failure. They called me up to tell me the truck was running great and when I paid them and left I immediately had to return to the shop to be told my tranny was shot. No reimbursement of any kind, not even an apology for not informing me of the chance of my transmission could be damaged by servicing it. I'm out $1100 and a running truck thanks to these swindlers. Take your business elsewhere. They're nowhere near honest.

This mechanic should be called Dishonest 1
Requested an auto inspection from this mechanic and I was quoated that it would $69. After inspection I was told I needed an new CV joint/boot and brakes/roters for a total of around $1800. After shopping around, other reputable mechanics quoated the matenance for the same things would cost around $800. When I ask to get my car back, the attitude changed and all the sudden I needed to pay almost $300 for them to jut put my tires back on the car. It took threats of calling the police to get my car back. After that I ended up paying only the cost of inspection.

Lesson of the day, don’t trust this dishonest mechanic. Always get a second opinion and you will realize they are full of lies.

A BIG SCAM
My boyfriend took my car to this place to get the free A/C checkup to see what's wrong with it. I have a warranty with the dealership but have a deductible so I wanted to ensure it wasn't something simple, like a recharge. We took advantage of the free checkup and had full expectations to get the work done at honest-1 as long as it was cheaper than my deductible of $85. He got an estimate to fix it for **$560**. After telling them that I had a warranty and would instead get it fixed at the dealership to make sure the parts were correct (i have a foreign car so that's important to me), the attitude from all of the employees was very disrespectful and unprofessional. We couldn't even receive any information on what was actually wrong afterwards.

****Long story short, I had an appointment with the dealership the next day, and paid the deductible. Out of curiosity, we asked how much the service would have been out of pocket from the dealership and they estimated no more than **$200.**

We tried to call back to discuss why it was so expensive in comparison to the dealership I bought it from, but the general manager hung up as soon as he realized who it was. Again, unprofessional.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM AND WILL TAKE UNNECESSARY MONEY FROM YOU IF YOU'RE YOUNG OR DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER ABOUT CARS. Do your research before going here, or you will be paying more than it's worth. Better yet, don't give them any of your money. Go to the dealership and get it done right.

My experience with Honest 1
Since the first time I stopped in to have a headlight checked out, I knew that honest 1 was the garage for me. You guys always get me in and out. And are always honest from the start about whatever situation it might be. I have had a lot of work done on my car by y’all and I plan on keeping it that way.
