38 Days of Frustration: Unresolved Repairs and Mismanagement at Homer Skelton Hyundai
I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at Homer Skelton Hyundai. I brought my 2016 Hyundai Equus in for suspension repairs under warranty on November 4, 2024, and my vehicle remained with the dealership for 38 days, during which time the repair process was plagued by delays, poor communication, and unresolved issues.

Not only did the service department fail to fix the original suspension problem, but they also repeatedly ordered the wrong parts, causing significant delays. During this time, I was left without transportation, which created major inconvenience and unnecessary hardship.

When I finally picked up my car, not only were the original suspension problems still not fixed properly, but a new issue—a noise coming from the front of the vehicle—had appeared. The service department then claimed that the front rims are bent and that the car likely needs two new tires, neither of which were issues prior to bringing my vehicle to this dealership.

Key Issues:
Prolonged Repair Time: My car was kept at the dealership for over a month without resolution.
Wrong Parts Ordered: The repeated ordering of incorrect parts delayed the repair process unnecessarily.
Poor Communication: Despite my repeated follow-ups, updates on the repair status were inconsistent and unhelpful.
Introduction of New Problems: My vehicle now has additional issues that were not present before the service.
Lack of Accountability: The service department offered no satisfactory explanation or resolution for the ongoing problems.
It is clear that this dealership is plagued by mismanagement and a lack of professionalism. Homer Skelton Hyundai needs a complete overhaul of its management team to provide the level of service customers deserve. Furthermore, Hyundai should seriously consider stripping its name from this dealership, as the current operations reflect poorly on the Hyundai brand.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone. If you value your time and money, avoid Homer Skelton Hyundai.

Poor customer service
HAS ANYONE ELSE GONE THROUGH THIS......
November I had a recall on my suv so I contacted them about scheduling for the two recalls (they tell me how backed up they are) and in December before I get to bring it in the damn motor starts losing power and knocking mind you I get my oil changed regularly and etc so l get it towed to them the beginning of January of this year (although they said they were backed up they say they can get me in and out and put it as high priority cool l'm at ease but little did I know it was bs)
My adjuster NEVER calls nor updates me I always get information from his colleagues I had to pop up there twice then I get him on the phone last month to see if the vehicle has gotten approved for the motor for my warranty then he tells me I'm number 19 and they're currently servicing number 12 so cool I'm excited but still nervous because they never call and update me.
So boom Friday I call to check on things because they said I can't get a loaner vehicle until they actually put my vehicle in their shop. Why does one of the colleagues get smart and say you can come get it if you want we're on number 1 and your vehicle is number 27. I asked how is that possible if I was just told something different then he says well it goes by what vehicle was here first well why did you all get to mine before others if that was the case and why wasn't I informed of all of this he says well I don't owe you a lie neither does my colleagues. Honey when I say I was livid because if you couldn't do it just tell me and for you to be an smart a$$ was not professional and you people aren't even taking things into consideration I'm still paying a $600 truck note and $400 insurance and rentals OUT OF FREAKING POCKET. If I wanted to save for a cash car like I was trying I couldn't with bills steady coming. I just don't understand how people can be so insensitive when they have vehicles that can do the exact same thing. I hate I'm experiencing this I just loss my child stressed about this mess had me high risk and everything in my 30 years of living l've never experienced migraines until now I just pray they hurry and fix my vehicle right so I can go on my way and never do business with them again I hate this place and I just went back on my daughter birthday and they just lied even more about the entire situation I’m just over it

Service; Horrible
Horrible Service, Had my car towed to get key fob checked & replaced & programmed $627.37.
Picked up car, lights saying key not in car, talked with mechanic She said she didn't know why it was saying that, because we turned car off & on several times. I left & said I would bring back tomorrow if continues drive to gas station & car WONT CRANK! SHOWS A CAR WITH A KEY HOLE IN DASH. I called back Doug in Service, he says bring it back, It wont crank! I said come get the car down the street, but they don't have a tow truck. ? So I have to get another tow pay when I just spent $627. For key fob & programming. Horrible Everytime I go in I leave and the same Problem or something New is wrong!
They CHARGE EXTREMELY TOO MUCH THEN MESS UP OTHER THINGS IN CAR.

Car never fixed
My 2015 Azera first went to the service department in February 2019, they kept it 5 months, took it back February 2020 they kept it 4 months supposedly fixed it charged warranty Co. $3000 but warranty Co never received the invoice. So I'm thinking nothing was repaired because I took it back with same complaints. Then November 2021 I had oil leak supposedly repaired but still leaking in December. Supposedly repaired. Returned it January 2022 they repaired one leak but not the major leak because now the car is out of warranty which it wasn't when leak started. Also I've been over charged twice on so called deductible and shop supplies and tax. So here I am may 2022 a car with 102,000 miles whining noise, oil leak and warranty is out.
