Lied to by Gavin and Matt.
Bought a car a little over a week ago from Matt. Was very excited about this purchase at first but now finding out that Gavin and Matt have lied to me regarding the condition of the vehicle I purchased. Buying a 24 vehicle that is still under manufactures warranty isn’t considered as-is and Hyundai corporate customer service agrees with me on that. Being told numerous times from both of these individuals that repairs were made prior to signing any contracts helped us with moving forward. Now we are told neither of them put in writing and as Gavin said every customer lies to dealerships to get repairs done at the customers fault and dealerships don’t lie. He’s been doing this for over 10 years and has dealt with thousands of these issues of customers lying. What happened in the past is irrelevant to this conversation. The only thing that matters is what is going on between us and multiple times Gavin chose to go the dishonest route when it was never a make it or break it situation. Instead he doubled down.

This is why people don’t trust car dealerships and they have a bad reputation. Buyer beware they will sell you, as Matt stated multiple times, a brand new vehicle still under manufactures warranty as-is. My first red flag was within 5 minutes of meeting our sales person he states that he didn’t know Hyundai made a truck.

Edit: reviewed my paper and the window sticker. My car was never sold AS-IS. I do not have paperwork or signed any paperwork stating such. After reading more reviews on google with the owner commenting on AS-IS issues with high mileage cars. Matt would have had to inform us, financing would have had us sign paperwork stating such. This would have been stated throughout the whole process to us, read a couple comments below mine. This was never apart of the process. So for Gavin to attack me and falsely claim I was lying to them. Is a gross understatement and poor judgement on his part. When in fact with that simple statement shows who’s lying but as he said over the phone. This is a he said vs he said situation even though the legal paperwork is on my side and the customer is always lying. I highly doubt anyone with Grayson will take accountability for this issue and continue to make it my fault for not doing my own responsibility and researching this particular dealership before purchasing said car.

Completely unprofessional, poorly managed service department.
I purchased a 2017 Sante Fe from Grayson in 2020. The car ran well until recently. At 85,000 miles we experienced severe engine problems. I called Grayson, looking for direction on what to do next, seeing has how this problem is likely under an active recall. After a month, and a dozen unreturned phone calls I was still in the dark about what was going to be done or what I could do. After leaving a negative review on google, one of the managers finally reached out to me, only to end up gas lighting me and inform me that they would not be helping me at all. So now I have to find another shop to take it in, have it towed there at my own expense and start the entire process all over again. Do yourself a favor folks, buy a car literally anywhere else.

Poor Communication
I bought my car here in 2019 and have loyally used them for oil changes, tire rotation, etc. So when I had an accident that required both service and body departments, I trusted them. I should not have.
I had my car delivered to Grayson on 2/13/23. The first issue came when they “lost” my email containing the insurance adjustment. This took them 2 and a half weeks to sort out between all departments (the two departments are 50 feet away from each other). No communication at all! This caused a back order on the delivery of parts. Finally once the service department was finished, the body shop did not have the proper parts ordered because once again NO COMMUNICATION between departments. It is now 5/27/23 and I have yet to have my car fixed.
I could overlook all of this if I had been offered a loaner vehicle from the dealership to compensate for these issues and for being a loyal customer. I was never offered and when I asked Service Manager Steven Kachelries if he could look into providing me one I was told that they don’t provide loaners in this case.
Long story short, I doubt I will ever return to Grayson once I pick up my car… which by the way, they are currently unable to provide an estimate for completion. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life

Professional liars
The worst car by experience I have ever had. After lying to me about which lender they used for my account. My payment is now over $100 higher than it could’ve been if they would have gone with the specific lender that I requested. They did not even submit my loan application to the bank that I specifically asked them to. Now on top of all of that, they will not answer the phone and refused to fix their lie. Do not go here! It’s interesting that their business cards say “I name you can trust”. I will have to give them credit. They are good at what they do and what they do is completely screw you over. I had Salesman Terran and finance manager Dave. Update: I called right now, and Dave said that they could fix my loan for a fee, but they were not willing to pay the fee to fix their mistake. Good luck if you choose this dealership.

Great Service Department
I would like to thank Grayson Hyundia for all they have done to help me when my car broke down in Knoxville while i was traveling on vacation. They have been a great Help with walking me through the process of what was wrong and what I needed to do. They have taken care of everything and given me the help & support needed to get my car back on the road. They provided me with phone numbers to help with rental assistance since I was out of town and needed transportation. Thank you, Brian & Brad, for your courteous approach to a difficult situation. I just wish they were closer to my hometown I would definitely become a customer.

Above and beyond exceptional service
My family has been buying cars from Grayson Hyundai in Knoxville for years. The trust and service are amazing and the salesmen are very honest and responsive. I just bought a new car a few weeks ago from Grayson and my salesman John was amazing! I truly felt he had my best interest at heart and listened to all my requests and was able to find me the perfect car. I am truly satisfied with the overall experience but john was the icing on the cake. I highly recommend going to see him for your next vehicle purchase at Grayson Hyundai.

Service Department lacks service
We bought a new car from this dealer. It keeps showing alerts - check engine and engine control system warning. We made an appointment, took the car in. They reset the computer and said everything was fine. It happened again. We've made another appointment. They said have it there at 8, they didn't take the car in until after 4 then ask if we could leave it overnight. At five they called and said they had reset the computer and it was fine. Two days later the same error messages appeared. I've call three times today, spent a total of 36 minutes on hold, and then got cut off.

Great Service
Had to bring my son’s Elantra in to replace the wiper motor. The repair was done under warranty. Figured it would take at least a 2 to 3 hours, but to my surprise I was out of there in a little over an hour. Fast and friendly service. Highly recommend.
