German Auto Tech was started over 50 years ago in West Memphis, Arkansas by Dietmar Streider who had worked in the Volkswagen factory in Germany as a mechanic. He started the original German Auto Tech in 1970.

Realizing that customers also needed European auto repair he retooled his shop to accommodate more makes and models. BMW 328i - Timing Chain and Oil pump replacement
I had the unfortunate pleasure of having to get my timing chain and my oil pump replaced at the beginning of December 2025. It was losing oil pressure and the timing chain was starting to tick and loosen. Logan talked me through pricing, time, diagnostics, pros and cons, etc (She is the absolute BEST). They had my car for a few weeks, due to issues getting parts in around the holiday season (no fault of theirs), but they helped me on a few smaller things with the car! With this company you get all the years of experience and knowledge working on your vehicle. I picked my car up today, and so far it sounds and drives much better! I appreciate them, and won’t be taking my BMW anywhere else!
