genesis of arlington pathetic service
I purchased a new prestige genesis gv80 from them in 2021.

I tried to bring it in for service 3 times and only got aggravation but no service.

They are booking out into march of 2023 which is two months from now for service. I asked them to perform a navigation update since my system is not working and they said I had to do it my self. I explained to them that I would have to buy a 64 giga bite flash drive and all my computers have the flash drives disabled for security reasons. They said they can not help. They do not do updates .

Another time I tried to go there because I had a dead battery but I could not get any help over the phone. I asked if they could send a tow truck and they set up an appointment with AAA . They went to the wrong address and never came. That wasted 4 hours. I finally got the car started which was no easy feet because there is no way to open the doors or the rear hatch with no power. Lots of research on the internet. The service department said just bring it down. I show up and they tell me I can leave it for a week. I agree and ask them for a loaner or a ride home. They respond with we have no loaner and I can take an UBER. They also said go home and try to charge it. I was unsure if the car would make it. They did not care.

The previous time I just wanted an oil change but they could not do it even if I drove it in and waited for 2 months.

If I could give them a zero I would. They are horrible for service!!!!!!!!! Do not go to this dealership it is painful. I ended up calling Genesis of Braintree Ma. and they can accommodate me next week and do all that I asked. That is the difference dealing with a 5 star rated dealership versus this fake genesis dealership.

Genesis prides itself on being a luxury brand. The Arlington dealership is a Hyundai dealership that sells the Genesis brand . There is no special treatment at all. I have never been so frustrated with any dealership in my 61 years.

Hate to bash them but if one person reads this and benefits from it then I feel it is worth it.
