The real deal shop
Hello my name is Eric Vandenburgh the owner of Ftr truck and auto. I have been in business for over eight years and been in the industry for over 30. Going to this new shop at 10:20 5 Altamont Ave. I thought would be a great move because of vehicle traffic and exposure. Unfortunately I am caught up in between a heated divorce battle and some disgruntled ex employees at this location. It has been some bad reviews over the last two or three months about my business I stand behind my work I offer 12 months 12,000 mile warranty with everything that I do as a minimum. Unfortunately social media is the only way to attack people. I would just like to reassure my customers and future customers that I do not do drugs and I am not an alcoholic I stand behind my work 100% these bad reviews are nothing but a ploy to discourage me to move from this location. I will be moving on I will be moving from 1025 Altamont Ave. to a new location I still also do mobile repairs which I have a lot of fleet customers that do appreciate my work. Useless
Incompetent techs and the owner was racist and called me the n word when I asked if they had any availability to install my tires next week. Absolutely down right rude! I wouldn't ever recommend anyone going to this shop

Rude and terrible work
Worked on my truck and told me they can't fix it as the owner was smoking Crack and the tech was smoking weed. Completely fucked my entire wiring harness. Had to go to another shop and pay 4500 to het it replaced

No way!
FTR had my car for over two months, with limited to no communication. At roughly the 7 week mark, the office manager called to say, we believe there is an electrical issue, and you’re more than welcome to bring it elsewhere. I assumed all I needed was an inspection, so I said to keep it. What else would one assume when asked to settle a bill for just under $2,200.

I went in the following week, after hearing nothing, to pick up my vehicle. It wasn’t fixed and was in worse condition. I went back into the office to question this, and before I could finish my sentence, the manager began cursing me out! Then the owner came in, in an intimidating and threatening manner and began his profanity laced dialogue.

I surprisingly maintained a level of calm, and got the chance to remind then that I am the customer and you charged me $2,200 and didn’t fix my car. The owner was going to refund me, but the manager said no. In all the owners ranting there was little that was relevant to my issue. I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect. The owner even insulted me on my way out the door!

I got a detailed bill two days later, and the owner took it upon himself to buy parts without consulting with me. In essence, he made unauthorized purchases.

These people lack class, integrity, and humility. I would suggest you steer clear of FTR. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Check out their latest review on Facebook, which reveals a pattern. They can’t put themselves in the customers shoes. Sad.

Ray said they took care of him and did a beautiful job. He added he would have liked to talk with the mechanic, he's sure if he had asked he would have been able to. It was good overall, the service and his experience was good.
