I initiated the process to purchase an electric vehicle from this dealership (Bolt EV). They confirmed that there was one in transit and available to reserve. They asked me to fill out a credit application to confirm my reservation. I gave them all my information, including my SSN, address, insurance, and driver's license. They took all of my information including my wife's. I called the next day to ask an unrelated question about the vehicle and to confirm if the vehicle was on hold. Another sales representative did indeed confirm that the car was on hold.
Two days later, I called randomly because we saw another color we liked and wanted to find out if that was also in transit. They tell us that they gave the vehicle we reserved to someone else. Mind you, EV vehicles are difficult to find at this time, and they are being sold out everywhere. They told us that we were out of luck and could not get the vehicle we reserved. I could have been searching at other dealerships since they had inventory while we pursued Dublin Chevrolet, but we did not, and we felt deceived. I have never been so upset at being deceived and tricked out of something their Sales Rep promised. Such a bad experience, that I hope no one goes through!
