Service department is just bad
2023 G70 with around 2000 miles. Brought in as the ride had deteriorated badly. Advisor advised they will check the balance, wheels, tires and bearings. Per tracking the Genesis app, they actually worked on my car for approximately 20 mins. Came back, can’t replicate the problem (well of course you can’t pull codes on this one) and to come back in a 1000 miles if still doing it. I left feeling very much blown off. Texted the advisor just to confirm the work performed and was referred to the service manager. Asked advisor again about work performed as mgr never called. For some reason the advisor refuses to verify the work performed to diagnose the issue. The manager left me a message where i immediately called back only to get a very grumpy lady advising he wasn’t in that day?? Huh? Anyway never received a call. Went to a third party shop. Advisor felt the issue immediately when driving and found several tires out of balance. So I paid to have that done and it seemed to rectify most of the issue. Doesn’t seem to be ? so filed a claim with Michelin to have my tires checked. The reply from Michelin and the tire shop they put me in contact with were blown away that the dealer was blowing me off on such a new car with very little miles. The tire shop manager was even a little angry about it so I thought maybe I am doing something wrong. So I filed a report with Genesis about the issue. After we finally connected I heard they’re going to set me up to go back into the dealer. That’s a no for me since they had the opportunity to fix the issue once and completely blew me off. So I closed the case as that was a useless effort. Now just trying to find time to have the tires inspected by a shop referred by Michelin. I think I saw another review saying Courtesy Genesis is deplorable…agreed.
