Service department is just bad
2023 G70 with around 2000 miles. Brought in as the ride had deteriorated badly. Advisor advised they will check the balance, wheels, tires and bearings. Per tracking the Genesis app, they actually worked on my car for approximately 20 mins. Came back, can’t replicate the problem (well of course you can’t pull codes on this one) and to come back in a 1000 miles if still doing it. I left feeling very much blown off. Texted the advisor just to confirm the work performed and was referred to the service manager. Asked advisor again about work performed as mgr never called. For some reason the advisor refuses to verify the work performed to diagnose the issue. The manager left me a message where i immediately called back only to get a very grumpy lady advising he wasn’t in that day?? Huh? Anyway never received a call. Went to a third party shop. Advisor felt the issue immediately when driving and found several tires out of balance. So I paid to have that done and it seemed to rectify most of the issue. Doesn’t seem to be ? so filed a claim with Michelin to have my tires checked. The reply from Michelin and the tire shop they put me in contact with were blown away that the dealer was blowing me off on such a new car with very little miles. The tire shop manager was even a little angry about it so I thought maybe I am doing something wrong. So I filed a report with Genesis about the issue. After we finally connected I heard they’re going to set me up to go back into the dealer. That’s a no for me since they had the opportunity to fix the issue once and completely blew me off. So I closed the case as that was a useless effort. Now just trying to find time to have the tires inspected by a shop referred by Michelin. I think I saw another review saying Courtesy Genesis is deplorable…agreed.

Inexcusable Customer Care No quality control .
Purchasing a 2022 G70 with under 10k miles online withh a trade in should have been a simple process. The price and terms appeared acceptable. After failed attempts to wire the money for trade in difference ,( the given acct number was 14 digits and 17 are required) the wire sevice automatically locks the account for 24hrs.
The following day, the transfer notice came at 1pm but the dealer stated they had not received the funds. My bank
instructed me to contact the receiver's bank with the wire transfer number to verify receipt. They claimed they had no information about the transfer. Obviously and justifiably concerned, I was contacted by Eliot Gunther , their finance manager who wss obviously inexperienced and no customer relation skills to deescalate an already stressful situation. He was bold enough to say , I'll just send the money back and also said obviously you cant find this car in your area or why would you be buying a car in Tampa. What he neve knew and still doesn't is that the CEO of the Asbury group is a friend of my family.
After receiving a call from Jose Ortegs , who at least knew how to treat a customer with respect, did I agree to complete the transaction. They did deliver the vehicle, but upon receopt and driving the car ,an electronic suspension warning light was displayed , as well as. rear seat warning . Additionally a missing fuse box cover and broken center console cliip. They have beem notified of these issues, but the point is, an inspected and cerified vehicle should have never been delivered to s customer in that condition. Lack of inventory , parts , and obviously of qualified employees, is no excuse for the decline of professional sevice that has all but diappaleared in many companies in the United States.
Their attitude that "we don't need you, you need us is in for a very sobering reality.

Not so great experience, so far
I am writing this review actually before the service is completed so I am not writing about the actual service, but the events leading up. The week of 4/24 we began experiencing dead pedal issues with our 19 Genesis G70. These issues would come and go. By weeks end it was getting worse, so I called the service dept at Courtesy and made an apt for Tuesday 5/3 at 10:20 AM. Over the weekend the car became undriveable so on 5/2 I called service to see if they had a wrecker service and explained what was going on. I was told no they didn't for a used car that I would have to have it towed in. I set up a wrecker service and had the car towed later that afternoon knowing it had an apt the following morning. When the car arrived at Courtesy they called and informed me it was there and said they may actually get it in that afternoon, but if not then at 0700 on 5/3. At this point I still had not been told who the service writer was, or if there was one. At roughly 10:50am on 5/3 I called service to see if it had gotten in the shop as my wife had taken the day in anticipation of being able to pick the car up later in the day. The lady that took the call was extremely rude and would not even give me her name. She then said that it was only 30 minutes past the apt time, it was not in the shop and sometimes they ran late. I was trying to explain that was not an issue and she kept cutting me off and not letting me speak. Finally, I said fine if you don't wish to hear me then thank you at which point she hung up on me. If the call was recorded please listen. I was in no way rude. @ 3:09 PM I received a text from Pouyan that said she was my service writer and if I had any questions to please text or give her a call. I called and was told she was busy that they would give her the message. I then sent a text simply asking about the status. I received an almost immediate reply that stated the car had not been in the shop yet. I explained that it had a 1020 apt that morning and asked why it had not gone in. She explained that because it came in on a wrecker, that drop offs and tow in's took longer and were usually pushed back 24 hours before going in to diagnostic....Seriously, I had an apt, I brought the car in a day early on a tow to ensure it was there for the apt and because I had to have it towed it deletes the apt and moves it to the back of the line.....I asked if she would please give me a call as talking by text often times leads to misunderstanding. I wasn't mad, I just wanted to understand the situation. She replied no problem, I will call you in a few minutes. It is now 10:06am on 5/4 and I still have not heard from her. I did send a text this am 5/4 asking for a morning status and if the car was in the shop yet. I have yet to receive any reply. Needless to say the even to now has been completely a waste and they way I have been treated and the apparent policies regarding tow-ins, regardless of an apt or not is unbelievable. If I could give zero stars I would at this point, but I will give one for whatever reason.

Genesis G70 2022
Great buying experience with Karl and Thor. I called a few days earlier to see what could be done with my current lease and indicated which car I would like to see. Everything went very smoothly from having the car ready to test drive to fulfilling what was stated on the phone about my Honda. We obviously had to find a price I was comfortable with and Thor was able to make sure the number worked. After that is when everything came to a major slowdown in order to see a finance guy to sign paperwork. Which is the worst time, after there’s nothing to do it takes an hour+ to finish up. Feels like ages. Finance wasn’t pushy after letting him know I wanted to keep the pricing the same that I had agreed to and we were done very quickly. Then it took awhile to find a receptionist to finish payment and coordinating how much I was paying. Another 20 extras minutes of just standing at the front counter which is awkward in itself.

Extremely poor experience during purchase of vehicle
Pricing ended up being higher than what we agreed upon and it was not presented to us until the end of signing all the paperwork. It was the last thing we signed.

No transparency during Financing.
Don't get your financing done through them. I would shop for interest rates before going there. Promotional rates are bunch of scam.

Avoid this dealership!
I purchased a new GV80 from this dealership. I chose the dealership based on their having the configuration that I wanted. Communication was a challenge during the entire process, but I thought things worked out when the purchase was complete. Unfortunately, less than a week later, the vehicle had a major software error and the infotainment system started to malfunction during driving. No response from salesperson (Tyler). No response from manager (Gary). No response from GM (Jose). Really awful service after purchasing a $70k vehicle. I suggest finding another Genesis dealer.
