When the vehicle was picked up, we advised the individual who retrieved it that we had concerns about the battery and that it appeared to be a AAA battery that may still have been under warranty. At that time, the vehicle was starting and operating normally.
The repair we performed addressed the check engine light concern that the vehicle was brought in for. Unfortunately, batteries and charging system components can fail independently of check engine light repairs, which is why we specifically mentioned the battery concern upon pickup.
We would have welcomed the opportunity to inspect the vehicle and help determine the cause of the no-start condition before assuming it was related to the previous repair.
