Defintely a great shop very professional and these guys know what there doing I had a catalytic converter to replace one shop wanted to charge me a crazy amount they did it for half the price of the other shop and did more work than expected defintely 5 out of 5 stars I would recommend this shop to everyone if they want a fair price and great work!!!!

Had 10,000$ dollars worth of work car still not running People do not ever go here .had my pulley system fall off while running they said I needed a cam replacement on a brand new motor they replaced it .they still said the motor was bad .shipped the motor to another shop they said promax replaced the cam improperly. Called promax Chris blough there manager he got irate when asked if I can get my money back.I can go on for days people do not go here period. Took them a year and a month still not running

Would not recommend
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Came in to have a high flow cat and O2 extenders installed. After leaving the shop, check engine light came on. Discovered the weld had a leak, returned to have it fixed and the CEL resolved. After the “fix” I barely made it to the freeway before the CEL came back on. I was glad I took pictures of the work as I shared these with the manufacturer who informed me the O2 extenders were installed incorrectly. On my third visit, I presented this information with front desk of Austin Pro who told me I instructed them on how to install it for which I did not. She also said it was an aftermarket part and how would they know how to install. Pretty sure 90% of what is in the waiting area is aftermarket and if you don’t know how to installed maybe you should inform the customer. They “offered” to fix it but I would be charged for it. Needless to say I declined to pay extra for their crappy work which from experience would continue to be so.

Poor Ownership and Workmanship
Had them install new exhaust on a classic vehicle. When completed it hung 3 inches off the ground. They repaired it by cutting up the pipe into many small sections and then re-welding them back together in a matter which would NOT be considered professional by ANY customer ...... instead of installing a new continuous pipe correctly. Changes in direction in a exhaust system should never have 90 degree corners....yes a square corner. Owner Pat would not return a call to correct. A week later I called again myself. Finally the 2nd owner called back. Bottom line he called Pat up and BOTH OWNERS determined the install was out of warranty and would not replace. Clearly this Company does not have very high morals which is reflective from both Bob Rowe and Pat the 2 owners.
Does it matter to you that any business cares about you AFTER you leave the door?
Should a company care after a warranty expire?
Would you want to recommend poor moral values?
Would you recommend poor workmanship?
THE ANSWER IS NO. Do NOT recommend Austin Pro Maxx and go elsewhere.
The car is a classic. It is driven a several times per year to exercise it. The POOR workmanship was not discovered until crawling under it this year 2020. I had no reason to work on the underside of my car and investigate . (What led me to discover it was showing my brother the install for a classic he needed new exhaust for. I was shocked to find the UN-professional work. Approx 400 miles were on it since .
Should any customer have to craw under their vehicle to verify a professional has installed/completed work to high standards? How many know what to look for? How many others have they taken advantage of???
Erik said this business told him they are a first come first serve facility but they did not say he could just drop his vehicle off before service. Not knowing that fact ended up taking up unnecessary time in the morning. Other than that, they did a really good job providing service and he would most definitely recommend them.

Bryan said the employees at this business were very friendly and they did a nice job in a timely manner. He mentioned the service was completed pretty quickly considering they had a few other customers at the same time. He also expressed the facilities and waiting room were nice. He plans to return to get more work done on his vehicle.
