“As is” BUYER BEWARE!!!
I bought a car “As Is” and very aware it was “As Is” This was going to be my second car to run around town. However, I was basically sold a bill of goods that was NOT the truth. Everyone praised how great the car was. Eddie, a salesman, said he was looking at it for himself. The sales manager knew the owner blah blah. So he said. I kinda got nervous after I bought the car and the salesperson said he needed a photo of me with the car and a sign. He kept it turned around so I couldn’t see what it said. He said it was for training purposes. I asked to see what it said and it basically and it said I’m buying a lemon…as is car. That car died on me before I got home. I know they knew about the car. I felt weird about them emphasizing it was “as is” I should’ve known better. $1000 later and afraid to drive the car. Long story short, they did nothing about it. I paid cash and literally just drove it off the lot. I would think a dealership selling cars over $100k could take my piece of crap car back only 10 miles leaving the lot. The salesperson told me it was going to auction if we didn’t buy. So you’re sending it to auction anyway but will allow your customer to have a major issue and do nothing about it? You’re getting $1500 at auction. Shame on you. Now I’m buying a new car but not from Audi of Greenville. Hey, it was “As Is” BTW, I can afford any Audi on your lot. I’ll stick with BMW.
