Cute, handles well but occasionally tries to kill me

I do love this car. When you get in everything is where you expect it to be. Decent on gas, but it has a small gas tank. After driving it for 6 months I still don’t feel the front of it (probably just my lack of spacial awareness tho). I can fit anything in it, but the back seat is just cruel & unusual punishment for anyone over 5’10”. It accelerates surprisingly well considering mine is not the turbo BUT occasionally, as I am going 65mph on a highway the car slams on the brakes and slows me to 30-35mph in about 2 seconds. Not a soul in front of me, but plenty of cars behind me. Plenty of angry, horn honking, middle finger flashing drivers that thankfully have great reflexes. “Collision Avoidance” might as well be called “Auto-wreck”. Still do love the car, i just turn off the safety feature that tries to kill me.
