Would not honor estimate
I received an estimate for Whistler for a thermostat replacement and took my truck to them a couple of weeks later. After having it towed there and waiting four days they would not honor their original estimate. I really wanted to use a local company and build a relationship as I have four vehicles. They would not honor the estimate or try to work with me to solve the issue. I was willing to split the difference or come to an agreement but I was told to come pick up my truck.
It’s sad companies work this way these days but I found a good ship that has treated me like the car. I have owned my own company for 39 years and would never treat customers this way!
Beware of these scammers!

Darren,
You came into the shop on 04/30 and requested an estimate for a thermostat replacement. This was given to you without seeing your vehicle. The estimate was $416.04 and included diagnostic to confirm repair and part. We did not see you again until 06/03 when you were towed in due to a crank, no start. We did our diagnostic and confirmed you were out of fuel and needed a fuel pump as your sender was bad. We gave you this estimate and you asked us about a thermostat to which we replied we had run codes and did NOT have any codes at all and we did not see the reason to do a thermostat. This is not a SCAMMER's response. A scammer's response would have been to just take your money and do a thermostat when it clearly did not need one. You INSISTED we do a thermostat, even though we had no reason to, so we gave you an estimate and guess what? It was to the PENNY the same. Now, we did add an optional coolant flush on the ticket after we actually saw the vehicle, but the quote for the thermostat, PART AND LABOR was exactly what you were quoted over a month ago, site unseen. (which we don't actually guarantee any of our quotes until we do diagnostic on the vehicle and confirm the part and problem and even then it is good for 2 weeks because of the current market) so, in reality it is awesome that your quote was exactly the same a month later when we actually saw the truck. You could have easily said you were not interested in the coolant flush but you sat behind your screen and texted all sorts of things about us being dishonest. We were not in any sort of fashion being dishonest. There was no difference to split and yes, after your rude texts you were told to come pick up your truck - you had not offered any sort of effort to "solve the issue". Instead, calling us morons. What is crazy is this whole thermostat debacle is NOT the reason your truck was here. It was here because it needed a fuel pump, which you never responded to our quote or recommendation about that.

I am incredibly happy with the results!
Whistler told me I needed new tires. Multiple family members confirmed. Whistler offered a very competitive price & quality. I’m honestly stunned at the difference so huge THANKS to Whistler for the smoother, safer ride. Whistler also determined cause of check engine light & fixed this problem as well… even tho my truck was only scheduled for tires. My truck runs better than ever!
The folks at Whistler have been awesome & for several years now, they have kept my nearly 30 yr old Expedition running. I’m incredibly grateful for their quality service & willingness to kindly tolerate my obsession to keep my old truck.

Quicker and cheaper than expected
Whistler's replaced the missing door handle on my vehicle in half the estimated time and cost. Some friendly service as always. Thank you!

Front End Replacement
This turned out to be a tough repair because of the trucks age, but the team at Whistlers Automotive worked diligently to get it done and done right. It drives like a new truck now and was worth the money. And very reasonable I might add. Thanks a lot, I'll be taking my vehicles to Whistlers from now on.

Very nice professional staff that actually tried to help instead of just pricing me potentially a fix I didn’t need they called and checked to see if I was covered by a warranty and thankfully I was very great help!

I finally found a auto repair company I can trust
Came to Whistlers on a recommendation from a coworker. Had lost all faith in finding someone honest to work on my jeep. Had taken it to 2 different places before here. One told me I needed to replace my engine and wanted to charge me $9200 for the used engine alone (whole estimate was around $16k). I brought to Whistlers and they replaced the water pump gasket and my jeep is back in the road for less than 5% of what the other places wanted to charge me. I am so thankful to have found someone who I can TRUST! Cannot recommend enough!!!

Quick, pleasant service!
I dropped my vehicle off for routine maintenance - the 100k mile plus transmission flush. Whistler's did it using BG products (which are awesome). The turn-around time was a little less than 3hrs, and the price was right! They do all of my vehicle maintenance.

My light EXPLODED!
I took my car to Whistler's this week because a headlight bulb that my brother had recently replaced for me was out again. When they opened the covering, the light bulb had exploded.

Whistler's replaced the bulb & fixed my charger that had blown a fuse. Now I can change my phone again!

Squeaky Noise
I had a high pitch noise and burnt smell coming from the engine and could not figure out what was wrong. These guys determined that whoever put the belt tensioner assembly on put it on backwards and this was causing the belt to rub and cause the noise. Thank you for the fix. Jack W
