Expensive!!!
The trim around the back wheel well was accidentally pulled off when a small bush caught it while I was closing the passenger back door. When I got to the dealership to have the piece put back on, the service rep told me the estimate was $115.00, never mentioning any additions costs. When the repair was completed in an hour, I was told that the total cost was a whopping $235.00! The rep told me that there were 15 clips needed at a cost of $8.00 per clip! What?? When I protested, the rep tried to explain it away by saying that he asked me if I had paid for the clips before I got to the dealership and that I had answered “yes.” Complete nonsense and a complete lie. When would I have? Ultimately, I negotiated the repair and got out with a bill of $194.00.

Be very careful when you bring your vehicle to Hyundai of Thousand Oaks for any kind of out-of-pocket repair. Make sure you are notified of any and all additional costs since the clips cost more than the actual labor. Had I been advised in advance that the clips would cost $8.00 a piece, I would have taken my vehicle home and ordered them myself on Amazon for less than $20.00 and then taken my car to an auto body shop to have the piece of trim put back on.

I will never return to Hyundai of T.O. again. I feel as though they took advantage of me, a senior woman in her 70’s who came in all by herself.
