Chrysler’s response? An outrageous $19,000 quote for an engine replacement. After “goodwill,” they lowered it to $15,800, which was still higher than every other reputable dealer we contacted. Our van sat at Walnut Creek, Jeep, Dodge, Ram , Stead Motors, Walnut Creek for 30 days while we pleaded for support from Chrysler and the dealership. What did we get? A carousel of transfers, denials, and “there’s nothing we can do.”
To make matters worse, every single person at Walnut Creek, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Stead Motors, Walnut Creek including the sales staff, service staff, Paul the Service Manager, and even David, the GM, openly admitted that Stellantis (Chrysler’s parent company) is terrible to deal with and that they were embarrassed by how cases like ours are handled. If the staff themselves say Chrysler customer service is a nightmare, why sell these cars at all? The only answer we got was a shrug.
Finally, a Chrysler HQ case manager admitted our “customer satisfaction score” of 790 should have qualified us for help and promised to escalate it to their area rep, Brian. We never heard back. More chasing. More dead ends. No solutions.
After 30 days of going in circles, Stead Motors Walnut Creek offered us a humiliating $2,500 trade-in for our Chrysler Pacifica, alongside a push to lease a Jeep, not even close to what our family needs. Here’s the kicker: the very same broker who quoted our trade-in days earlier through Chrysler offered us $3,000 when we leased a Kia. Kia valued Chrysler’s car more than Chrysler itself.
And as if that wasn’t insulting enough, we still walked out owing $750 in diagnostics fees to Walnut Creek, Jeep, Dodge, Ram - yet they generously gave us a “discount” of $50.
This experience has been nothing short of brutal. We truly loved our Chrysler Pacifica, but between Chrysler and Walnut Creek, Jeep, Dodge, Ram - Stead Motors the customer service, accountability, and goodwill were nonexistent. Families deserve reliability and respect; we got neither.
I will go out of my way to warn others:
Do. Not. Buy. Chrysler. Do. Not. Trust. Walnut Creek, Jeep, Dodge, Ram - Stead Motors
