They fix it but the nickle and diming is getting absurd...
I've been taking my vehicles to VA auto service for quite some time and do trust that they do a good job.
That said, took my car in today for an oil change, tire rotation and to ask them to check a prior repair of alternator and pully belts. Quote started at $1700 (which I was shocked by) then went to $1300 when I asked them to remove one tune up item - and then I ended up paying $2100 after being texted that the tune up was very important and should be done today.
VA auto does a good job and I trust their skill - but the pricing is getting a bit overdone - nearly every single time I take any of my cars there it is minimum $1800. I brought my car in today for an
Oil change, tire rotation, and to check on a sound coming from the engine related to a repair they just did six months ago. Had to redo that repair and then some... oh and the warranty was expired on the September repair.... OKay...but the add on fees just make no sense - diagnostic fees when i'm also paying labor fees, random shop material fees with no explanation. Labor charge on the first quote was $600 on the second quote after I asked to take off the tune up item it was over $1000 - giving me the impression they want to get a certain amount out of each customer...
Virginia auto does good work, but the taste is leaves is that they tack on extra fees where they can.
