Inept/Incompetent Service
As the owner of a 2019 CX-9 Signature, my vehicle was the unfortunate victim of a design flaw that resulted in a cracked cylinder head that required the removal of the engine for repair under a TSB warranty issue. I was reluctant to have the work performed, but had no choice. At my first appointment, I was greeted By Mike the Service manager. He used a derogatory slang of my name as the initial introduction. I countered by stating that a man of his stature could be pounded in the ground like a tent stake. Needless the say, I wasn't impressed. Things went downhill from there. They put my vehicle on a lift, confirmed my assessment, and scheduled the service once parts were received. I was assured Joe, their ACE Technician would be performing the work. Well, a 2-3 day job stretched to 11 days as they allegedly received the wrong head bolts. Once the job was completed, the ACE left off the positive battery cover, only to have me find it missing. Back to the dealership. The vehicle immediately developed an oil leak that required at least 10+ visits to service department. They couldn't find the leak, blamed it on residual oil left on the block. I had to power wash the engine from the underside to remove the coolant stains in an attempt to provide a clean surface to find the leak. They added leak dyes to the coolant and the engine oil. I was becoming more frustrated when I discovered the transmission oil pan was dented from the engine removal process. Carelessness on the part of the ACE. In their attempts to find and fix the leaks, I was provided with three more loaner cars as mine was out of service for multiple days/visits. In their attempts to fix the leak, they removed and resealed the engine oil pan, and the valve/cam cover. The oil pan was replaced, then the transmission pan on another visit. Still leaked. On visit 10 or 50. I lost count, my Mazda dripped on their tile floor in front of their eyes. I had to park the vehicle on cardboard at home and twice, power washed my driveway with Dawn to remove the oiled stains. Finally, they found the leak, the crank seal in the timing case cover, or so they told me. Another few days without my vehicle. Fixed, but highly disappointed with the inept/incompetent service. No quality control, no quality assurance. No care for the customer.
Fast forward a week later, a noticed a small dent on my lower driver's door that probably resulted from opening the door into the two-post lift in the service department. Nothing else could dent the door in that location. Forward to a year later. I removed the engine shroud to replace the spark plugs as I had no faith in going back to the dealer. Low and behold, five bolts were missing from the heat shield at the back of the engine and for the coil pack rail. Nice job ACE. This shows the lack of attention to detail and the lack of care for a customer's vehicle. Needless to say, I will never go to Towne Mazda again and will discourage anyone from patronizing that dealership. In my opinion, the two people I called out in this review should be terminated. Undue costs were absorbed by the dealership and ACE probably lost money on the continued repairs that were beyond the scope of the TSB. I DON'T LOVE MY TOWNE!

Went to Mazda dealership to look a cars when an individual was driving right at me while I was staying to the right. This individual named Kevin Whalen that works there started waving his hands all over the place and yelling, I asked Mr. Whalen what the problem was and he stated I wasn't moving. Wait a minute I'm on the right side of the road why was I to move , so I asked why should I have moved. Mr. Whalen stated "just get the fuck out of here". I was so taken back by what he had said, I was there to possibly make a purchase and this how I was treated.

I've now bought two great Mazdas from Chuck at Towne Mazda in the last ten years, because he's a good, straightforward dude and not a slimy sack of shit like most in this industry.

Waste of time
Wasted days of search time calling and texting a salesperson Teresa on a used 2024 Mazda that she “checked on” and said was available. She was never able to talk to a manager about the price and was never able to get a sales sheet worked up to show me numbers out the door and after several days of asking I finally gave up and called the dealer directly for her manager.

The manager was apologetic and said the car was lost/missing/suspected stolen and then found. But it was also already sold at this point and pending delivery. While he was polite - I found the story kind of hard to believe. And if true, why didn’t Teresa relay any of this info to me while supposedly working up sales sheets? He ended the call saying if he found any cars that fit my bill he would let me know.

I called back later that day and the next day and tried to talk with him again about a new 2025 Mazda I found on their website and my calls were never answered or messages never returned.

Here we are 2 weeks later after the last communication attempt and the used 2024 that was “sold” is still on their website! Either this is a bait and switch car or there is a lot of lying happening at this dealership. I’m so glad I avoided dealing with them. And and as a perk: I ended up finding the same year/make/model car in the same trim and color and options AND with less mileage FOR LESS money elsewhere!

I drove 2 plus hours to the dealership because they had a good selection of MX-5's to choose from. I was able to test drive multiple cars and and take my time. At the end of the day they were able to help me process a deal and get on the road home just before they closed.

Efficient, respectful service
I was greeted and my car issues were noted. Video provided by technician. Estimate was provided as well as estimate of time to complete job. I was offered a shuttle. After service was completed i was able to ask further questions. The waiting area was clean and had a good bathroom and WiFi.

Our used car buying experience at Towne was fantastic. Both our sales associate Kyle and the sales manager Tyler worked tirelessly to configure a deal we could both live with, despite it interfering with their scheduled days off. Even after we agreed on an "as-is" deal, they still put the vehicle through their body/detail shop to correct the cosmetic blems we noticed and delivered the car to us in near flawless condition. They were aware this was our son's first car and paid special attention to that, collecting a separate check from him and ensuring a photo of him getting the keys handed over to him. Overall a great expeience that is sure to bring us back.

Fast and precise
Good customer service, fast and complete.

I found it a bit disconcerting that they tried to sell me an air filter on a vehicle with only 4,300 miles on it though.

However, I am sure they are mandated by the dealership to do that.
