Thank you Val! There's few things worse than a breakdown in traffic and I'm glad we were able to get you back on the road. Not sure we were "generous" in lowering your costs, though, because it's just the way we work. Before we dig in to any problem, we have our clients pre-authorize an hour of diagnostic time so they're aware of the potential costs and there's no surprises. But if we don't use all the diag time, if we find the issue in the first couple minutes of looking, then we DON'T say "Ah ha! Gotcha! We can still bill for the full hour!" No, we lower the cost to accurately reflect the time we spent on the vehicle. We'll lose a few dollars on that particular service, but it's fair to you, fair to us, and keeps you (and other clients!) coming to us for the LONG term.
