My 2005 Avalon has been giving me a headache and causing me great frustration. The problem was battery drainage. If I parked the car at my house for more than 12 hours, let alone start the car, I could not open the door. I took it to Priority Toyota three times, and they were unable to figure out the problem. Finally, they concluded the car has no problem. I just happened not to drive it much.
With the recommendation of a Pep Boys employee, I took my car to Tidewater Auto Electric. The reception was courteous, and the conversation was encouraging. Mike promised me that they would figure out the problem and he will get back to me in one day. To be honest, I was hopeful but skeptical. Five hours after I dropped the car, I got a call from Mike. They figured out that the amplifier was turned on by itself and drained the battery. After I brought the car, I intentionally parked it for three days and checked if it will start. As soon as I opened the car without a glitch, I knew the wonder these people had done is true. I lack words to thank them.

Determined, fair, honest and just good people
My 2002 Dodge Durango had some issues to say the least but, they found and repaired what 2 other shops couldn’t. It’s very hard to find a shop you can trust and Tidewater Auto eletric in Chesapeake is that shop for me. I can’t say enough about the team they helped me in more ways then one. Thanks again

Keeps their word
They took care of my old workhorse honda's broken AC unit, completely restoring it. They said I could bring it back should anything not end up working. The day after I drove it home, the AC stopped working again. I took it back and they not only gave me a brand new unit and put in a few hours work at no extra cost. They were courteous, true to their word, and my AC works like a dream!

Excellent Service
Had to have airbag issue fixed to pass inspection. Fixed in one day at very reasonable price. 3 years later vehicle makerr issued recall and instructions for refund.Took Wes the list of paperwork required and he printed it out for me in less than 10 minutes. They will always get my business if I can't do it myself. Highly recommend !
Tom said he was not happy with the service and they did not fix the problem he asked them to fix. He would not recommend them to others for the reasons mentioned.

Paul said this business overcharged him for what was done to his vehicle. They charged him $475 to put some tape on the electrical line, which was a rip off considering what was done. They did not even show him what they did, all they gave him was a description. He would have liked to see what it was they did. Even though his vehicle is working, it was just too much. He would not recommend them due to reasons already stated.
Levi said he was given what was needed, and it was done in a timely manner.

Maude said the business worked with her in a kind manner, and tried to explain everything to her. She did not mention the check engine light was on, so the business did not address the issue. She stated she assumed the business would see the light, and fix what was wrong.
