Austin, Joe, and the crew are the real deal. Not “yeah they fixed my oil leak” good… I’m talking legitimately high-level competent. The kind of shop where you can tell within five minutes these guys actually know what they’re doing.
For context, I run an F-550 water truck that gets absolutely abused for a living. It’s got the cursed 6.4 diesel, which is basically Ford’s way of asking “how much pressure can we make before something expensive happens?” So when it breaks, it doesn’t do it halfway.
This was a full send repair. Head gaskets, heads, radiator, and a bunch of other work to essentially bulletproof the motor. On these trucks, that means the cab has to come off, which is about as fun as it sounds.
Here’s the part that blew me away.
They had it done in days. Not “shop days,” not “we’ll call you in a couple weeks” days. Actual days. Full cab-off, major repair, back in service.
On top of that, the communication was next level. They called me every step of the way, even for the smallest things. No surprises, no guessing, no “hey come pick it up and here’s a new bill.” That alone sets them apart from most shops.
And the price? Around $17.5k. Other shops were quoting $20k+ and giving me the classic “we’ll get to it when we get to it,” which is great if you don’t need your truck to make money… and that was if they didn’t just hear “6.4 Powerstroke” and say “lol, no” and hang up.
These guys understand that downtime matters.
Austin also went out of his way to save time and money wherever possible, without cutting corners. And here’s something important: if they recommend doing something that seems a little more expensive but gets the job done faster, trust them. They’re not trying to upsell you, they’re trying to get you back on the road and keep you there. Big difference.
End result: truck runs right, no nonsense, no surprises.
At this point, they’ve earned all my business. Diesel, gas, whatever. Hell, if they’ll take my lawn mower I’ll take it there. I trust them enough that if something goes sideways in peak season, I know they’ll get me back up and running without the usual headache.
