Front brake job bait and switch

Was made aware of the company via Groupon. I was looking for front brakes on my car and felt like it was a good deal. The deal was $79.00 for Front or Rear brake pad replacement. Now that sounds like a great deal so I called and spoke to Luis over the phone, he said I may have to pay for rotor resurfacing or replacement. Now I have never heard of a brake job if you don't at least resurface the rotor so that is an automatic charge in my book (Only a shady company will do your brakes without at least resurfacing the rotors if they are within resurface specs). So we are now at $129.00. An acceptable price...but wait there is more. Of course OEM parts on my car calls for ceramic breaks, another $45.00 charge so now my $79 job is $174. Welllllll, is this the quote I got from them? Nope our buddy Luis quotes me $200 from his list taped on the counter and offers me a $10 discount( still $16 more than what is listed in the "fine print" on Groupon. And by the way, when I called Luis told me to come in and I did not have to buy the coupon on Groupon. Groupon takes a cut of the total price because they are the ones promoting Sunland Tire Company. Shady?? Maybe maybe not everyone one wants a couple of bucks in their pocket but it is also indicative of their attitude. I am not ready to say they are shady but can confirm they are dishonest and work the bait and switch. I ended up canceling the service and they still charged me 29.95 because they put it on their rack. You be the judge but I would not recommend this shop to my wife, daughter or friend.
